When the room fills with giggles and laughter while reading the book to a 4 and 6 year old, then-this book is a winner! The kids make Con Pollo jokes and memories even after you have read it to them. Plus it was a fun read for them, providing confidence in their reading skills while subtly learning some important Spanish words. They may not realize it, but it definitely helped to encourage them that learning how to read and speak in Spanish and English can be fun. I figured it had to be good since I admire both Jimmy Fallon and Jennifer Lopez. My grandson, who is extremely gifted, began preschool a couple months ago. He is 4. Half his class speak only Spanish.
