I purchased this board as my beginner board, my first, and for that purpose, it is great. I got this on a great sale, and I truly believe that this is the best board you can possibly get for its price. In that regard, I give it FIVE stars. But Jonathan, you might ask, why is your review only four stars then? Because this beginner board is just that, a beginner board, and it isn't meant for much more than just learning the beginner basics of skating. It is not industry-standard, as well. I took it in to my local skate shop today to get new trucks for it (the ones it came with serve their purpose, but I wanted better ones) and I found out that the holes in the board to attach the trucks are not standardized with all the other trucks in the world, so that the shopkeeper had to drill new holes in my deck to install them. The deck itself has very little concave, also. But here are my tips to get the most out of your board, just as it is: Loosen the nut on the wheel a little bit. Mine came a little too tight to allow it to spin as freely as it needs to. Also, tighten up the trucks a little bit (or a lot a bit, mine were very loose out of the box, causing some wheelbite). But yes, overall, if you're looking for a cool-looking, extremely decent board for an extremely good price, this is the one for you! ... show more

Looks great especially with the illuminated wheels at or after dusk. Wheels run smoothly. So why only 3stars? Deck --- soft wood scratches and probably breaks quite easily. Not great! Trucks --- assembled tilted and slightly out center. Board does not run straight, so sad! There are not slotted holes anywhere that would allow readjusting, and this is really frustrating, especially for beginners! Rubber bushings are a bit hard and have quite a bit of memory to them. So if you do a hard right turn the board will keep on stearing to the right after. Wheels and bearings --- just ok but ok My conclusion --- with slightly better trucks and a more accurate assembly this could be a great board for beginners at an unbeatable price. Probably there is quite a bit of variation from one board to the next so you may want to give it a shot be happy. ... show more

Nice solid deck. Trucks have some flexibility, not too firm not too loose. Wheels are pretty standard. I thought about buying some new bearings when I bought the board but that is unnecessary. I put some Reds bearings and cruiser wheels on my son's board and I have no issues keeping pace with him when cruising. ... show more
