It's cute, not real big so it doesn't take up a lot of counter space (about the same amount of space as a 2 slice toaster) so it's easily moved from one location to another - and it does make ice fast. Be aware though, even on the large cube setting the cubes are quite small. The water collects around the freezing rods, so when the cubes are frozen and drop off the rod they are more or less round and they have a hole in the middle where the rod was, so they melt faster than a solid cube made in an ice cube tray in your freezer would - but it would save space in your refrigerator freezer if you don't have an ice maker & you need to stack trays in the freezer (which are a pain to fill without spilling the water getting them to the freezer). I don't know if I would bother even making the small cubes (I haven't tried making those so I can't speak on how what size those would be in comparison to the large cube option). When the basket is full, the machine stops making the ice until you empty the basket & then it starts producing them again -and it has a signal light that indicates when it's out of water. When the basket is full, it makes something like a couple of cups worth of cubes. It'd be handy when entertaining a small group of people to scoop out some ice from the basket for a drink (it comes with a scoop), but for a larger group you'd need to bag up several baskets full ahead of time and put it in a freezer to transfer to your ice bucket. Overall it's been handy for my family to add ice to their drinkswithout opening the freezer every whip-stitch to get some for it.

Received my ice machine about a month ago. I absolutely love it!!! Works great I do not run it constantly I do run it about once a week and bag the ice. Doesn’t make a whole lot at one time but perfect for what I need. Doesn’t take long either. If you’re looking to use it for a cookout, you may need something bigger. I use bottled water(16 Oz) and I use about 1.5 to fill it, that fills about 3 quarters of a gallon zip lock bag. It keeps the ice cold until you empty it. For me, well worth it!!

pros- The unit makes ice well. The evaporator that makes the ice is 3.5 in by 7.5 in and dumps every 11 minutes on the settings I'm using. I'm using it for home use and it should be fine for that. cons- The bin only holds 10 lbs of ice not the 30 lbs they claim. They claim it is a commercial unit but I would be careful with it as some parts are not very robust. It would have to be emptied 10 times in a 24 hour period to make the 100 lbs/ 24 hour they claim.

It gets stuck in no water, too much ice mode. The power switch does not work. I was going to send it to the trash, when it started working again. Working fine now. Fingers crossed.
