    • Holds a 60"x40" Poster!
I was skeptical these 3M poster strips could hold a 60x40 inch poster but they really worked! I did probably overkill it though and used more than suggested but with such a large poster I wanted to make sure it didn't bow in the middle or sag. I used 4 rows of 6 strips along the top, bottom and two rows in the middle. And so far so good. Looks to be on the wall quite well and I feel confident it'll stay on the wall until I decide to take it down. I can't wait to try these on other things too. I bought several packages of different sizes and even checked out the video on the manufacturer's website. Interesting concept to never hang anything with nails again. Makes redecorating easier and friendlier to your walls too. And living in earthquake country, it just might stay on the wall better too. But given that, I'll be using extra to make sure! Removing the strips is as easy as it says too. Just pull on the tab and it comes right off. I put one of the strips in the wrong spot on the poster and was easily able to remove it without damaging the paper. Just be aware that one side is meant to be stuck to the wall and the other to paper. It's marked with red lettering on one side and black on the other so just be sure to get it right and you'll be fine. Like I said, I was skeptical but I'm sold on these 3M Poster Strips. I'll definitely buy more and intend to use them on everything from this point forward! Final suggestion -- be sure to buy the value packs. It's more cost effective. ... show more

    • One of the most useful supplies for any college student!
I'm a Sophomore college student and I love these strips for setting up a multitude of things in my dorm room. Although it says they are for posters I find that using more than one (as you would with a poster anyway) can hold up a wide variety of items. I live in a considerable small room shared with one other person so space management is key. I use these strips to mount my power bar (or whatever you call it) to the wall next to my desk for easy access to outlets for my various devices. I also use them to mount my small picture frames on the wall and as replacements for the larger adhesive strips used in the Command Adhesive Hooks which I have plenty of (use two facing in opposite directions to cover the entire back, works just as well as the full size strips). I've even mounted the receiver for my wireless headphones on the wall with no problems at all freeing up much needed space on my desk. And of course, I use these strips to mount my posters on the wall and ceiling (many people prefer using sticky putty for posters, but very rarely will putty be able to hold a poster up on the ceiling). It is, however, very important to follow the instructions that say to wipe down both the wall and item being mounted with rubbing alcohol before mounting. This has proven to be the deciding factor between long term adhesion and falling off within an hour or so. A fantastic product, I will buy it again and again! ... show more

    • Worked perfectly for me
I've used a variety of these Command strip products, including many of these poster strips. I just moved out and took everything down. Worked like a charm. Poster strips -- left both poster and wall perfectly intact and clean. This is the product on this page, I absolutely love these. Strips with the plastic cord holders - perfect, ran then along a piece of wood behind the sink in my kitchen. Passes by one old hook (not a command strip) that was installed there ages ago, is yellowed and glued firmly, will never come off. Reminds me why I love these strips. Landlady didn't follow instructions--my landlady came in one day to look around and without consulting me decided to take something off the wall that I had hung up using command strips. She had no clue how they work so she just yanked it off and it left some marks. I don't like her. I was pretty angry. I don't expect these to work flawlessly in extreme temperatures or high humidity, or on every imaginable surface. I expect they will not work well if the paint is not well adhered to the wall, if the surface is not clean, if the weight hung on these strips exceeds the force they are rated for, or if the instructions are not followed properly. However, so far I haven't had a single failure and I plan to use them to hang up everything, including mirrors, in my new apartment. ... show more

    • Best poster adhesive I've used
I've been decorating my room recently with blacklight posters, but some of them were expensive so I didn't want to put any kind of adhesive that would ruin them. So I found this product, and it had very good reviews on it, so I gave it a go. Turns out, it works very well. Very simple instructions, red-tab side on poster, black-tab side on wall, a little firm pressing and you're done. If you are worried about removal, I was too, but I came into an instance that I put one of my posters up lopsided and had to readjust. I read the instructions and they had a section about that, and I followed it and it came off like it said. I don't know about take tabs off the poster though, that would seem a little tricky. Also if you have big posters, 4 tabs might not work, because then you have big pockets of poster not attached to the wall and a lot of air between it and the wall. So on one or two I used 6. But that shouldn't be a big issue. Overall, I'd say this is a safe product to buy. ... show more
