Size: Picture Hanging Kit
These are great and useful - when they work. Following instructions to a T, even using these on things that are far below the weight limit, or going overboard with too multiple strips, it can be a hit or miss. I've used many of these throughout my home rather than making permanent holes in the wall. Removing these are easy and doing so properly has not damaged my walls or objects so far. Most do not fall off on their own, but some have. In those cases, I find that the weakness is the adhesive. Not the velcro part, but the sticky adhesive part that is stuck on to objects and walls. It sticks for a good while and then at some random point decides it doesn't want to stick anymore. It's that sticky adhesive part that is the weak link in this product. If not for that, this would be a 5 star product. In the end, the failure rate makes these unreliable. Updated to add: The sticky adhesive strip that sticks to the wall becomes brittle over time. You're supposed to stretch it out parallel to the wall to slowly release it from the wall - like stretching out chewing gum - without damaging the wall, but when it becomes old and brittle it just breaks apart and taking it off is almost impossible without some damage to the wall. So unfortunate.

I have used many Command hanging products before and been very happy with them but this kit was disappointing. We tried to hand a small battery powered clock on a smooth clean wall ( weighted about as much as a birthday card) and 30 minutes it fell, tried another hook and the same thing happened. I have used many Command hinging products in the past but this picture hanging kit was disappointing. Hung a small battery clock ( about the size and weight of a birthday card) and 30 minutes it pulled free of the smooth clean wall. We are moving into an Independent living facility that had been completely cleaned and painted. We also tried to hand sever small pictures using the four points of contact but only two are still up out of seven. I am going to try some hooks next of a different style. I will not recommend this kit.

I hung up a valuable piece of art in my new rental because I did not want to put nails in the wall. I am utterly shocked that this is working so well. I am a huge command brand fan, and as my first time hanging up actual pictures with it, I am impressed. Holds well on my textured walls. My advice to everyone who had pictures fall off of their hooks- do yourself a favor and take the photo you want to hang (especially heavy ones) and just step on a scale with it to determine that the hooks you choose can actually hold the weight. I weighed all my artwork and other heavy wall stuff and they've been sturdy for a week now.

I am surprised Command keeps selling this product. Had such high hopes for using on tile. Very lightweight clock (e.g., well below the listed MAX weight). Tried using one "recommended" hanger. Followed the direction completely given my wariness from the reviews. Gave way in about 24 hours. Next time tried a 3-way approach using multiple options from the package. This time it held for 2 months. Luckily I was home when it chose to give way and my 3-way solution simply released in stages, so it bought me some time to catch the clock before it smashed into the floor . I checked the tack on the 2 pieces that let go. Nothing! They wouldn't even stick to each other - tack to tack. Maybe they should simply market these products for hanging a simple piece of PAPER to a wall. Then it might work.

There are a few types of hooks in this package, some have a hook at the bottom of the device like most command hooks I've used. Then there are a few with the hook at the top of the device which doesn't make sense. If the weight of an object is placed at the top, I assumed it would begin to peel away from the wall. This is exactly what happened and two of my pictures fell within a few days only on these hooks. None of the bottom hook mounts have detached and I hung them four months ago. So most of the hooks work great but not the ones I described above.

Not holding up much more than a poster. Even using 4 of the heavier weight rated items it wouldn't hold up one picture that can't weight much over one pound. I really didn't want to go poking holes in my fresh painted wall but it's better than my pictures falling every few minutes.

The product description was not very detailed and did not include pictures of the individual hooks. This should have dissuaded me from buying the product, but out of a misplaced sense of optimism I did anyway. This was a mistake. None of the five hooks are large enough for what I wanted to hang. They are designed for hanging pictures with those wires or those little tiny bracket things, and that is all they will hang. For some reason, you get five hooks, about 20 sticky pads for them (which is helpful; you can reuse the hook after the sticky stuff wears off), and then some items that look like maybe they are bumpers to protect your wall from the picture frames. Really hard to say. Package instructions don't help. One of the few things the package does say is that you can hang up to fifteen pictures. This is not true; there are five hooks so you can hang five if they're light, fewer if they are heavy enough to require more than one hook. If you have no more than five pictures to hang, you enjoy having a bunch of useless rubber doo-dads that don't do anything, and you don't mind overpaying, then this is the product for you. Everyone else should do what I should have done in the first place: go to a hardware store or Target and look at the picture-hanging gizmos they have in stock so you can actually see what you're getting.

I tried using these on a variety of wall surfaces and picture frame types. So far only 1 of the items hasn't fallen. I'm a very big fan of the hooks and have them in bathrooms, kitchen, bedroom etc for a variety of uses so I was disappointed when these didn't work. I have panelling on 1 wall and they wouldn't stick to that at all......on the rest of the walls they stuck for anywhere between 5 minutes to 3 days before falling. I made very sure to use the recommended type for the specific weights, then switched those to items much lighter than recommended. No luck.
