First of all, the reviewers saying there’s only a little fragrance in this product need to get their noses checked. The fragrance is very strong. In fact, it is my favorite thing about this product. I love the smell, and it’s as strong as any essence with a fragrance. It lingers long after you apply the toner. I gave this 4 stars only because I need to wait to see if it breaks me out. I’ve been using it for about 3 weeks, and so far so good. I don’t see any skin brightening effects. But it does reset the ph after washing. It also works well under other ingredients. I apply moisturizer over it the daytime and retinoids over it in the evening. It increases the suppleness of the skin after cleansing. I think people who don’t like fragrances in general will want to steer clear of this one. That said, I personally love the smell so much I wish they’d make a perfume of it. I normally don’t use fragranced products. But comfort zone’s cleansers and toners from this line all have that citrus/ musk smell, and I just happen to really like it. I can’t see that the fragrance aggravates my rosacea, which is surprising. So, if you want a toner that glides well, hydrates, cleanses, and balances, I’d recommend this one. ... show more

A refreshing toner that has a lovely mild scent that reminds me of a cross between a fresh, rich sea breeze and a garden with slightly sweet smelling flowers. Very ladylike. A really pleasant blend that is great for all seasons, but especially in the summer. This toner clarifies the skin and makes if feel very soft. Leaves it feeling as though there's a protective coating that is nice and light without smothering the skin. It moisturizes a little bit without any oiliness at all. Can be used without any moisturizers on those days when you want to go as bare skin as possible but still would like a little bit of some sort of delicate treatment on your face. I’m always on the hunt for that perfect skin product &, except for the price, this toner is pretty close… Because of my extremely dry & sensitive skin, I find out right away if something can be used regularly. HOW IT WENT: - I removed my eye makeup & washed my face as usual, then used this toner. - Using an XL cotton pad, the product has a moisturizing feel, rather than an alcohol feel. - The ultimate test is to hold off on the face cream I use nightly, so I left my face bare overnight. - Next morning? My face was soft & smooth with no dry patches or tight feeling! I will continue to use this & will definitely consider ordering again, as long as I’m ready, willing, & able to pay $35 for it. That’s pretty steep, but it is very high quality & extremely effective.
