I ordered a Try Before You Buy box of 6 pairs of hiking boots by different brands, and I purchased these because they were the lightest and most comfortable for my wide foot (they happened to be the most affordable as well). I sized up to a 9 (I’m an 8.5) so I could use insoles, and I still have room to wiggle in the toe box. The padding around the ankle is slightly bulky, but only when looking down on it, not from a side view. The white, sneaker-like sole makes them look more stylish than your average hiker, and I get a lot of compliments on them. I sometimes swap the red laces for black to mellow them out, but both look good. I’m recovering from a sprained ankle and mid foot, and not taking any more chances by walking or hiking in something that doesn’t offer ankle coverage/support. I’ve been wearing these for two months on neighborhood walks, short and long hikes, and a recent trip to Scotland where I was walking up to 10 miles a day up slippery cobblestone hills, steep stone monuments, and wet, muddy mountains. These shoes never let me down! Even when my feet were submerged in mud up to the laces, my feet stayed dry and the tread stuck to the terrain. I got the green boots with the red laces, and I styled them with wide leg pants and jeans and a trench in Scotland, and they just looked like the sneakers that all the fashion girls were wearing. I heartily recommend these boots! I have no complaints whatsoever, and am considering ordering a second pair in a different color just for fun.

Loved these shoes!! bought them for a hiking trip to Arizona! very comfortable and provided good stability for the ankles. didn't have any trouble with the clasps for the laces like some reviews mentioned. told my boyfriend it felt like my shoes were in bed!! lol so comfy! i did size up half a size to account for thicker socks

Loved these! Did an hour easy hike on a California hill/cliff side down to a beach. Shoes were light weight and comfortable. Shoes kept my feet warm and cool when I needed. Stepped in ocean water and shoes were water resistant like mentioned in description. And they did dry fast. I measured my feet as per the sizing chart suggests and it was a perfect fit. I felt the ankle support.

These shoes were amazing to start. They were comfortable, grippy, fit my feet perfectly, very cute, the whole package. EXCEPT unbeknownst to me they have speed hooks to lace the shows up. These are known to be dangerous because they can accidentally hook on to your other shoe and trip you. I tripped bad, don’t make my mistake! Either way a boot guard or leg warmer with them or do what I did and flatten the hooks.

These boots are amazing. I will say the color is not the same as in the picture, they’re more of a grey color. But that’s unimportant. I just took them on a 7 day hiking trip through multiple national parks.. I wore them in the sunny warm weather, the snow, the mud, and the rain. My feet never once got sweaty or cold or wet. I did not have time to break them in beforehand, but it didn’t matter, they were so comfortable and did not give me any issues. I hiked probably 30-35 miles total in them. They’re amazing!! Definitely recommend.
