These are my favorite dresses. I think have 4 now different patterns/colors. They are great for hot humid days. They are easy to wash, just throw in the washer and dryer. They don’t seem to wrinkle at all. I’m 5’9” and the length is perfect for me. They hit a little above the knee. Plenty of coverage. Nice to be able to stay cool in the heat without having to expose too much skin. I think they run a little small. I wear a small in most things. I have 2 of these in a medium and 2 in a large. The medium fits fine but is kind of snug in the chest. The large is better in this regard and feels more flowing and comfortable but the arm holes are two big and certain bras show on the sides which I don’t like. I still love them just wish they fit me a little better. For reference I’m 5’9 and 135 lbs.

I recently ordered and received my fourth Columbia Freezer dress. These dresses are so awesome, especially when they are discounted. The cooling properties of this dress are real. It may even be a little cooler than wearing nothing at all! When it is hot out, this dress is a multi-tasker: a bathing suit cover, a light dress for sightseeing, and with a cardigan, drinks and dinner. It is very sturdy and doesn't wrinkle. Washing and drying are very easy. I love these dresses for travel because they are so small and light to pack. I've washed mine in a hotel sink with some detergent and then hung it up to dry for a few hours. The fabric dries very quickly, which is why it is so cooling and works so well in heat. The style of the dress is flattering on me. It doesn't cling anywhere below the bust. I'm sure I haven't bought my last.

Light weight and wrinkle free. Hits at all the right spots without causing bulge anywhere - as the material drapes right over your features. Although I wear a M - I know to get a L in Columbia dresses, as I’m 5’9”. Sometimes the armpit area is a bit too large - given the material, they might consider tightening that up a bit. I’ve had many of their dresses for years and they still look new after so many washes. Wash and hang - they dry really quickly. Well made. This color is very light and ‘faded’ looking - yet great when you have a bit of color. Not at all see-through either. Highly recommend.

Easy to pack (lightweight, takes up no space in your luggage and no wrinkles), quick dry after washing, comfortable to wear and has SPF. Love the color combinations. Was easy to match with a fascinator in fuchsia. I was the “Bell of the ball”. Sale price was outstanding.

I did love this dress, and it fits true to size (I am 5'7 and 127 pounds, athletic, small fit perfect). I agree with other commenters that the dress is made of a thin, swimsuit like material, however that is what I was looking for. The dress is light, breezy, and very comfortable. My only issue is the material. Columbia is a sportswear brand, highly touted for being outdoor and activity friendly. The second time I wore this dress was to an outdoor fair (think small town, county fair). As I was walking past some food vendors, some of the charred leave's from grilled corn flew my direction. Before I could even brush off the pieces, they burned 3 small holes in my dress. Immediately. And so fast the dress actually melted onto my leg. These same pieces also landed on my boyfriends cotton shirt, which he brushed off only after I told him, and they never left a mark. This dress, in my opinion, is highly flammable. That comes as a surprise from an outdoor clothing maker. I wish I knew if there was anything the seller could do, but I am not sure how to contact. I really wanted to wear this dress and get more use out of it since I was very happy with it. Also, at $40 this was not a cheap dress to only wear 2 times. Like I said, I was happy with the dress, before knowing its vulnerabilities. Please be HIGHLY ADVISED if you wear this dress, be aware of your elements, and even the mildest of heat burned right through.

First off, let me say that these dresses are AMAZING. I bought my first Columbia PFG Freezer dress 3 years ago and I liked it so much I've bought an additional one in a new pattern every year since. It is lightweight and doesn't wrinkle, absolutely perfect for travel to warm destinations. It is also dries quickly which is great for times when you don't have access to a dryer (I've literally worn it straight out of the washer) and makes it an ideal choice for lake or beach trips as it can be used as a swim cover up. The material is stretchy which means you can do just about anything in it, including hiking, and it's held up perfectly (ZERO snagging) over multiple years of use and many, many washes. The length is another thing I love about this dress, a lot of dresses these days are so short and this one hits right at the knees, which is perfect for me. All that being said, I was extremely disappointed to find that this year's new dress didn't fit. At first I thought I might be imagining things, but after comparing it to my other dresses I can confirm that this dress is about 1" smaller in both length and width (picture included for reference). I'm not sure if this a manufacturing defect or Columbia has changed their sizing. Either way I will be returning and will wait until I can try on in a store before re-purchasing. For reference, I am 5' 7", 140 lbs, pear shaped and I purchased a medium.
