As someone who lives in a cold/snowy climate (at the base of the mountains in Utah) and who participates in a lot of outdoor winter activities, I did a lot of research before buying a pair of winter/snow boots. I'm always thrilled when I get it right on the first try without having to send anything back. These boots are worth every penny. I have come to be a major fan of Columbia outerwear in general and these boots were no exception! From the moment I put them on I knew I would love them if they kept the warmth in and the wet out- which they do! These boots are extremely comfortable! I can wear them all day and don't want to take them off! They aren't a fashion accessory but aren't ugly either which is nice. I bought them to do a job, not look darling, but I actually really like the way they look as well. They look just fine under my jeans. They fit great and are "substantial" without being super clunky and are surprisingly light. Most importantly they keep your feet warm and keep any and all moisture OUT! You could trudge around in sleet, snow, puddles, mud for hours and stay toasty and dry, and I have chronically cold feet so I would know! The tread is really substantial as I mentioned and I feel totally comfortable hiking in these in winter or just hanging Christmas lights on a ladder outside. I can't praise these boots enough! If you're look for the cutest and least boot looking waterproof boots in the world, these are not for you, but if you want a real winter work horse boot that you can actually wear under boot cut jeans to work and not look completely silly, these are a winner! I ordered these boots for my mother - who has bigger than average feet (size 11 typically). She can never find any good winter boots in her size. I ordered these boots for myself last year, and they are awesome. I still have mine, and they still look brand new!! So when my Mom mentioned she needed boots, I suggested these to her! I ordered a size 12, and she said they fit well and are comfortable to wear!! She's VERY picky about her footwear - So that's saying something!! Take our word for it - these boots are great!! Im an 8½ and I ordered a 9 - they are true to size! They keep your feet warm and dry in rain, snow, sleet, whatever mother nature has!! I’ve only had them for about a month and have only been in a couple inches of snow, but, they are warm! They fit perfect and feel like I’m wearing a sneaker. They are water proof, insulated, lightweight and durable. The question will be how long will they last!

I have rather large feet and these don't make my feet look really huge because of how they are cut, but yet are still very comfortable and allow me enough area to move my toes around a little but still not sliding around in the boots. They were very stiff when I first got them but after wearing them around for walks with my dogs in the snow I am finding them loosening up some and more flexible. I bought these just in time for a snow storm with 3 ft of snow. They're cute and they kept my feet warm and comfortable even after hours in the snow. The first thing I noticed with these boots was how easy they were to put on. I’ve been wearing Sorels for the past few winters and they are a pain in the butt to put on and take off. Not these! I can quickly slide my feet in and out of them. I am a dog walker and needed something warm and comfortable for winter walks. I was able to put them to the test this week with Michigan temps in the single digits. These kept my feet warm and dry and are very comfortable. However, they failed when it was time to play in the snow. After 15-20 mins, my toes were painfully frozen! I wear Darn Tough wool socks too but looks like I’ll need toe warmers for these times. Other than that, they are fantastic and I’m extremely happy with my purchase! Even cuter in person too! Oh, and they are true to size in my opinion. I wear 6.5 and that’s what I ordered.
