    • Quick On & Off Boots With Good Ice Traction Soles

I purchased these to have a pair of boots that were quick to put on & take off & also to have the best ice traction for walking around town. They are both. I have other boots for deep snow. They also have a very comfortable foot bed & you can remove the insoles & put orthotics in. The first day I wore these, I stepped in a deep puddle & my feet stayed dry. The only possible negative might be that the tongue of the boot doesn't tighten up to the top of the boot at the front of the ankle, so if you are walking through deep snow, snow might go in there. One other thing, the color of the boot in the photo is not what I received, however the description described the actual color. When I ordered them I questioned why the description said one thing & the photo showed otherwise. There was no photo of the true color of this boot. I was looking for a winter boot to travel with in Europe, these are NOT going with me! The most annoying thing is the lack of any kind of arch support to the point where I felt like the sole was rolling me to the inside. I have no arch problems but a few weeks in these and I think I would! Yikes... maybe with inserts they'd work but at this price point, I expected more! On my foot the style looks like someone has already broken them in, kind of overworn looking, although they are obviously new. The sole is extremely flexible(a possible plus?)but they also have very little sole thickness, I don't think they'd last the season. I chose to go up a full size larger as others suggested. They fit, and have plenty of room to wiggle my toes. The insole removes easily, is not fuzzy, just plain fabric coating.Also they don't lace to the top, ... show more

I'd recommend ordering a full size larger or, if your foot is wide like mine, a size and a half larger. I'm a size 7 1/2 wide and ordered an 8 1/2. It was just a bit too tight on one foot, so I returned them and got a size 9. Thank goodness, I got them within two days as I had a trip planned. I wore them in Alaska in February and they kept my feet toasty warm (and dry!) while dog sledding, crossing an ice-covered river, and lots of walking through snow. I brought some super thick socks along and found I didn't need them. Just regular warm socks were enough. The boots are so cute, too, with their fake-fur trim that I wore them out with a dress and leggings one night. I also really like that the boots give traction. There was an ice-covered grate walkway leading up to our room and others said how slippery it was. I never noticed. I'm back in Tennessee now and it's 50 degrees, so I can't wear my boots. :( I'll have to book another cold-weather holiday so I can wear them again. That's how much I love these boots! Incidentally, I had no trouble with returning the smaller sized boots. I got a full refund within hours. ... show more

These boots run small so size up a half size if you want to just wear regular socks and a full size if you want to wear thick socks….I am a B width normal size 9 and I ordered a 10 after reading reviews. I have plenty of room for thick socks and I have been wearing these all day with just thin little ankle socks….I can see if you have high arches that the width across the top of the foot is snug, but as I am wearing them, it feels like they loosen a bit….they are toasty and warm…it snowed here today for the first time this season (living above 9,000 feet) and for taking the dogs out three to four times a day, they easily slip on and off when you don’t lace them tight…they will definitely be great for what I needed them for….easy off and on and warm…edited after reading buyer laced them through the hole in the fur to come up higher and be tighter around your ankles….woohoo! ... show more
