Columbia products have never let me down and these did not disappoint. I bought these specifically for a trip to Colorado. I was worried that they were not going to fit or be painful, but that was not the case. They arrived several days before my trip and wearing them around town, they felt very comfortable. In Colorado, we did lots of activities, including climbing a very, rocky mountain peak, hiking trails and horseback riding. These boots never disappointed in, both, comfort and safety! And my GenZ daughter thought they were stylish with jeans and a plaid button-down when we'd hit the town later. I've only owned them for 2 months so time will tell f they endure, but I fully expect them to! I like that they are weatherproof, as I also needed boots for clearing snow, and now I have a pair! And I found the price very fair considering the quality, comfort and brand-recognition.

Super light, leather, comfortable, true to size

This is my 3rd pair, walking a lot in my job and I love them. Wearing them every day and they safe my legs by being very light and comfortable. They are also waterproof. Yes, I had to glue the rubber tip at the front couple times but that's normal cause They been my working shoes and I put down 10 000 + steps a day.

These are nice looking shoes. Can be worn as a casual as well as a hiker. Lightweight and comfortable. With the sale these were a great bargain. I usually wear Merrill but the price was prohibitive for me at this time. Four stars as we will see how they hold up.

This is my 3rd pair of the Newton RidgeThis is a great shoe, Good quality leather and very comfortable. They need additional waterproofing before going out in wet or adverse conditions. The glue holding the upper to the sole could be better, as when the show wears out the upper will separate. Overall this shoe is a great value, and good quality.

Exceeded Expectations!

We live in a rural area on extensive acreage. Walking and working outdoors means rough going underfoot. For years, my standard footwear has been Timberline White Ledge boots. Recently, I elected to try these Columbia Hikers mostly because they were offered at 20$ less cost on Amazon. On delivery, I was a little surprised...and a lot pleased. The size 10 1/2 fit me perfectly. Snug, but not binding. Noticeably better support than the Timberlines on rough ground or snow. Better sealed (more waterproof). Easy to lace. Warm enough for most winter weather. The Columbia Newton Ridge boots are even still comfortable after a long hard day prancing in the outdoors. Pleased to recommend 'em. ~ The Duffian

Best Hiking Boots

These are to me the best hiking boots money can buy. The best bang for the buck. You get an awesome package of waterproof, traction, comfort, stability, and durability. I bought a new pair after 7 years of putting my old ones through it. I’ve hiked volcanoes, backpacked Iceland, hit Yosemite, and every backpacking adventure in between. These boots made me feel invincible. My old ones are still going strong but they are starting to show their age after 7 years and don’t know when they’ll give. LOVE THEM.

Fits great, feels durable.

These boots feel great. First pair of leather boots, so I didn't know what to expect. So far, they're water proof (except on the tongue). The rubber on the bottom of the boots feels softer, but it also feels like the rubber "teeth" sort of flex to fit rocks and stones better when I'm walking on uneven terrain. So far so good.
