I've been using these boots for about a year now and they've met almost all of my expectations. Knocking 1 star off mainly due to these not keeping your feet warm in the slightest. I know these aren't advertised as winter boots, but I have tennis shoes that keep my feet warmer than this boot does in the winter. I pretty much have to double up on socks in the winter if I use these boots. But for the positives though, these boots are rugged. I've taken them on numerous hikes in the Rockies this past year and the tread on the bottom has shown nearly no wear and provide amazing grip. These will probably last several more years at this pace (and I'm rough on my boots). The waterproofing is excellent. I've trudged through plenty of soggy deep mud without any issue. I was also hiking a 14er yesterday that required a creek crossing and I lost my footing on the rocks and had to step into the water to prevent a fall. The water came up nearly to the top of the boot and my feet were perfectly dry. Not a single drop of water got in. I was able to just continue walking in the water without issue. Even other boots advertised as waterproof have not faired that well, especially if the water hits the mesh of the tongue which happened with these. If you don't do much winter hiking, or if your winters are fairly mild, these are a great pickup. ... show more

I purchased these for a ten day trip to Colorado and Utah. I wore them around the house to try them out. They felt good so they were the ones I picked over Danners, Keen, etc. it was a wise decision. We hiked three national parks, a national forest and state/local areas. These were comfortable, dry (it poured at Blue Lake), warm (tundra over 12,000 feet), and light (just 2 times the weight of slip on Sketchers). The traction was excellent. I bought these as I needed a boot of this kind to get through the fall and possibly winter when it snows where I live and when a full boot isn't necessary . Merrell wasn't having a sale on the shoe-boot I now use as something to throw on when taking the dog out. I've had plenty of Columbia products in my family and when I saw these were on sale for $59 I knew I had to jump on them. Fit me perfectly and lace up tight but not uncomfortable and they'll definitely be getting their full potential during winter. ... show more

Wow - thank you Columbia !!! Perfect fit; true to size with just enough room for heavy sox. Lighter than I expected & that’s fine. I’ve needed a decent pair of waterproof work boots for too long. Very supportive for my ankles. I chose the lighter sole so I can gauge the amount of mud & crud after yardwork & then decide to hose them or scrape them. I disdain buying footwear online due to sizing issues. These are absolutely great. Comfortable right out of the box. Good support, great lacing w/hooks on top eyes (not holes). I have 16 pairs of boots and shoes because I was trying to find something that helped with my chronic foot/leg pain. These are absolutely the most supportive, and comfortable shoes I've ever had on my feet... A co worker ordered 11 pairs because he was afraid they would stop making them! Yeah. They're that good. Let me first say I am in landscaping so I walk ALOT...I wear a 12 wide and new shoes/boots hurt my feet for weeks til I break them in BUT these are the most comfortable things I have ever worn right out of the box...I tried them because they were $56.99 on prime day but they are great..not only are they comfortable it turns out it is sprinkling outside today and my feet are dry also...HIGHLY RECOMMEND ... show more

These are the most comfortable boots I’ve ever had. They seem to be good quality, but comfort is the best attribute. It is not like wearing a boot at all, more like a casual shoe with the ankle support. Love these so far and hoping they will last.

For women with bigger feet: I bought the women’s version first (as I’m a woman), but the toe area was so small and narrow. I don’t have “wide” feet. It was absolutely ridiculous how scrunched up my toes were. So I decided to try the men’s and they are perfect. A little tiny tight at first at the sides of my feet, but quickly loosened as I walked around in them. Feel good so far. Highly recommend for women with big feet (10.5 inches). ... show more
