I’ve been buying Columbia Crestwood sneakers for a few years now, ever since the shoe company I used to buy from changed their shoes to a high arch support I just cannot wear. These Columbia Crestwoods became my go to walking shoes. The moderate arch support is firm but not painful like the high arches the other shoes switched to. The toe box is roomy but not too wide. The foot bed and the uppers are very comfortable. The mesh uppers are also cooler in hot weather. They look and feel fine, fit OK, don't have a problem with them. They are as expected. It's hard to say how long they will last since they are new and it's my first pair. They couldn't possibly wear out faster than Merrell Moabs so we'll see. It's getting hard to tell the difference between name brand shoes and Walmarts, because they all look pretty much the same and come from the same source. These shoes are WAY less money than many of the overpriced competitors. Co-workers talked me into buying a high-end hiking shoe and I spent twice as much for those shoes as these Columbia’s. The expensive shoes didn’t fit as well, took forever to break in and are still not as comfortable as these. Even if these fall apart (and they show no signs of excessive wear over the last 90 days +) I could replace them and still be under the cost for the high-end shoes. Like I said, I just got these so I cannot speak to how theyu are going to wear, but the combination of a super-comfortable shoe with the price about half of the outrageous name brands makes these shoes a huge BEST BUY for me. If I could find a different color I would buy another pair immediately. I could yammer on about how much I like these shoes, but I'll spare you since maybe they fall apart and I have to come back and revise my review, but lately I am noticing that Columbia products are really great, good quality and reasonable prices. I mean these shoes are a little big in size. I have Columbia Redmond Iii Waterproof Hiking Shoe, and it is US 9,5 Wide. And it fits perfectly. But these I had to change to 9,0 Wide. I've already tried cross-country walking and I absolutely love them.
