The Bahama II Long Sleeve fishing shirt features some of Columbia's best sun protection technology to help prevent skin damage while outdoors. The fabric is crafted of UPF 30 to protect against harmful UVA and UVB rays, sunburns, and long-term skin damage. The mesh-lined back vents add breathability to the shirt to ensure comfort even when things get hot; the 100% nylon fabric is lightweight and dries quickly to keep you cool. Lastly, this long sleeve shirt's utility features make fishing life a little easier with a rod holder, multiple low-profile pockets, and adjustable roll-up sleeves. Columbia's long sleeve fishing shirt comes in many size categories and colors as well. To ensure the size you choose is right, utilize our sizing chart and the following measurement instructions: For the sleeves, start at the center back of your neck and measure across the shoulder and down to the sleeve. If you come up with a partial number, round up to the next even number. For the chest, measure at the fullest part of the chest, under the armpits and over the shoulder blades, keeping the tape measure firm and level.

It's described as a UV protective clothing item. I have Lupus and cannot be in the sun for longer than three hours without a severe reaction taking place. The shirt is comfortable and fit well but the only thing that seems to make it UV protective is the tight weave of the material. There's no actual protective coating added to the clothing as far as I could tell and I own LOTS of UV protective clothing. I ordered two NEW shirts and one of the shirts was a used item (which I returned for another). I could tell it had been used because not only was it not folded correctly (new items come folded a particular way) but the bag it came in was an Amazon resell bag with the green piping. I used to work for Amazon in the returns department and used these very same bags. The item was also dirty. Not like it had been worn, but more like it had been dropped on a dirty Amazon warehouse floor and not brushed off. I could have simply laundered it but I paid for new, I should have received new. There is some quality issues as some of the threads stick out from the garment and havd to be snipped off. In regards to color and UV absorption. Black, dark blue, dark green, and dark red are best as these darker colors absorb UV light, whereas lighter colors allow the UV to slip through the weave. Columbia makes (IMO) the most cost effective UV protective outerwear on the market but Amazon quality control is seriously lacking. ... show more

This shirt is true to size and wears extremely well. Pretty much wrinkle free but nothing that throwing it in the dryer for a min or two won't fix. A good buy for a quality shirt.

This shirt is comparable or even better than shirts that are considerably more expensive. The fit is generous and comfortable. I'm 6' 195lbs and the large fits me perfectly. [In general:] This was advertised correctly, the images were true and the size is true to fit. [What I liked:] I liked it a lot, if your looking for a light weight comfortable shirt, this might be a good choice. I liked the weight, if you get wet it will dry out fast. [It would be cool if:] As good as this is, I wish it would have a bit more collar, seems to pop up a LITTLE. I got what was expected and advertised, donโ€™t get me wrong but this would change it from a โ€œhome runโ€ to an โ€œout of the park home runโ€ for me. [Not so great as far as:] If I had one thing I would change it would be the button holes, its a bit of a wrestling match to unbutton. I always win.
