This review is LONG...and LONG overdue! I purchased on June 22, 2021. That's nearly 5 years ago! Installed them immediately on my patio to provide shade from the harsh afternoon/early evening sun. Best investment ever!!!! And in reflection, this is probably my best Amazon purchase ever. If I could give them 10 stars I would! They have withstood 5 years of sun, wind, rain, snow, freezing temperatures, blazing hot temperatures and look just as beautiful now as the day I hung them up! Understand, I do not take them down. Ever! They've been up for 5 years!!! The grommets are secured to the metal patio posts with black zip ties. Yes, I have replaced the zip ties numerous times as they take a beating from the elements. But what has not been compromise in 5 years? The grommets are ALL still intact. The original brown color has not faded. There are no holes or damage to the material whatsoever. They have lasted longer than any expensive patio rollershade I ever bought, and I've purchased multiple brands from big box stores countless times since moving into our home in 1999. But not so in the last 5 years since these bad boys were hung! This product is durable, high quality and so worth the price. When installing, be sure to pull them taut as this decreases jostling and damage that may be caused from the wind. You can see from my picture how smooth they lay against my old patio posts. Pull those suckers as taut as you can... work from the top down, one grommet level at a time, seeking a tight fit at each level as you work your way down. Secure with good quality zip ties at each grommet and keep extra on hand in the even of breakage. At the bottom I secured the edge of the material to a 2x4 with staples, rolled it tightly around the 2x4 and secured it with some clamps from dollar tree to prevent movement. I cannot express just how extatic I have been with this purchase over the last 5 years! Such a high quality product! Do NOT think twice about purchasing! Best investment ever!

Super easy to install- just need a second set of hands to help hold and zip ties. I did have to order longer zip ties because my 6 ft fence configuration didn’t fit the 6 ft long screen. So we made the 5ft x 50ft and the 5ft x 3ft black screen work (the multiple size options helped with deciding what was best for our fence). The grommet spacing and reinforced bordered increased stability and securement. The screen is made of a mesh that allows wind to move through yet ensures privacy.

Our neighbors have two large dogs that love to bark at anyone outside. I have a two year old who loves to play outside in our backyard but gets scared when the dogs come out. This privacy screen does great at blocking the dogs out and keeping our daughter from getting spooked. Super easy do attach to a fence and there’s plenty of zip ties included to use!
