I gave this to my 15 month old grandson for Christmas. He loved it. He has the usual little four wheel cars that he has learned to mount, but has not mastered forward movement yet. Not with the bike! He was moving forward within seconds, but also falling over a lot. I recommend you have your child master the bike on low pile carpet before moving on to tile floors. The bike assembles easily. From the instructions, I was not familiar with the term bucket assembly. It’s just sliding the metal tube into the plastic part until the metal button can slide into the hole in the plastic part. Be patient, follow the instructions and you will have the bike assembled in no time. Sliding the tube into the plastic part can be a bit of a challenge. Ladies, you may require a man’s strength to accomplish this.The seat is nicely padded. The light up wheels are nice, but my grandson could not see them when riding, so they entertained the family more than him. Everything about this bike speaks quality and durability.

this bike is good for climbing- it's low weight due to having no brakes or water bottle or drive train makes it light- the downside is that coming back down steep hills becomes a little adventurous. Cyclist should probably stick to short and mostly flat rides on this bike- and wear a helmet. (actual review) our 1-year-old Eli loves the bike- easy to assemble, good quality and value, and great for short "rides" on carpet or hardwood

My baby absolutely loves it but unfortunately, she's a little too short to stabd astride it so I should've asked that question. Also putting it together they sort of left out a step where when you insert the handle into the front wheel, we have to take the little cone off first but it lights up and is adorable.
