It came in a lovely soft bag, but the box it came shipped in was beat to hell and back! Both ends were barely held together with a bit of tape! I'm actually surprised the cue wasn't damaged. I havent used it yet, so the rating may go up. It is nicely made. Feels great to hold. But I thought it was red. I thought the wood design was red. Red is my favorite color. When i received it and seen it was brown I was disappointed. But it just color. So if it works. I will keep it. **update** It works nicely. So I bumped it to 4 stars. I just tried this pool cue out. It's not too bad. Nothing special. I may have given this four stars if they just simply did not include a case. I had to go out and spend another $25 on a decent case. And I have known this, I would not have bought this cue
