I'm a big cigar guy and have worked my way through dozens of torches. I just received this lighter and it has quickly become one of my very favorites in my arsenal. Here's what I like about it: it's relatively small, a bit bigger than a Zippo, and it sits comfortably in your pocket, at the same time it feels substantial - rugged and very solid. Lighting is an easy, very natural one-handed operation, a single motion that includes folding the cap back if it is closed at the time. Further, the cap folds ALL the way back and away from the top of the lighter, so it doesn't interfere at all with the cigar you are trying to light (a big pet peeve of mine). The fluid indicator is the easiest to read... by far... of any lighter I've owned. How they get the fuel to look blue is a mystery, but it's very effective (and pretty cool). In addition, the flame adjustment wheel is the easiest to use... by far... of any lighter I've owned. And with it's 2-year warranty, I look forward to this lighter being the one I grab first for many years to come. ... show more

I have had a couple of Colibri lighters over the years and they have always been my go too. Unfortunately after 6 months of use I am disappointed with this lighter. The lid stopped “popping” back all the way when lit after a couple of months so the edge is now darkened from the flame. It also stopped filling all the way after a couple of months, only fills about half way. I have used nothing but Colibri butane and have tried using all the fill tips that fit. Lastly the finish doesn’t hold up. I carry it in my pocket and sometimes I have other things in my pocket like keys or my “worry” stone. The finish is completely scratched and chipped down to bare metal. Overall not completely happy with this lighter. ... show more

Colibri are some of the finest lighters money can by. I purchased a couple Colibri lighters for my grandfather 30 years ago. He’s past long ago, but those lighters work as well now as they did on day one. Grandma said he carried and used them everyday. Thanks colibri.

I bought this one because I managed to drop my old Colibri a couple of stories onto the paving below. These are sturdy, but not indestructible. And it would have really hurt if it had fallen on somebody. Bottom line, it's worth every dime, and easy to refill.

For the high price they’re charging for this torch, I expected a good build quality. That wasn’t the case at all. In less than two weeks of ownership the pain has begun peeling off despite the fact that I’ve never even dropped it. For the price their charging I expected the torch to be anodized. I also expected better quality bc of the brand being Colibri, but I guess that doesn’t mean much anymore bc the shoddy paint on this product proves their not the brand they used to be. They must really be struggling financially to decide to cut corners like this. ... show more

I fancy myself a pretty big cigar smoker. I have had torch lighters in the past and some of them either didn’t work well in bad weather situations or you literally felt like you were burning your eyebrows off when you lit your stick.
