This is solid and looks great. It provides lots of working surface if you need it. Putting it together is a little weird since the "wood" surface is two pieces width wise, but its all solid once it's assembled. Good more budget friendly desk.

    • This is Adequate... Maybe
I read a lot of the Reviews on quite a few "computer desks" here on Amazon and needed something simple to extend my existing desk that has a glass top and very stable welded legs. The dimensions on this seemed "perfect". Correct height to match my desk. Depth was only 1/2" shy of what I now have. And I liked the idea of the bottom braces that join the legs together, front-to-back (this table design would be horrible without them!). Here are some Good Points... 1) They pack it very well. The box arrived in a bit of a shambles (not the fault of the seller), but, surprisingly, nothing was scarred or missing. 2) The instructions are very easy to follow. Three different-sized bolts go into specific locations. No confusion there. 3) They actually give you one EXTRA bolt per size. Good thinking on their part! 4) The top is protected with four nicely-designed plastic corner protectors, which you discard while assembling. Here are some Not-so-Good Points... 1) The walls of the tubing are rather thin. So much so, that you must be careful while tightening the bolts on the legs because the tube walls start to deform almost immediately. I cannot compare this thickness to other tables advertised here, except the L-shaped White Glass-top Desk which is very sturdy, by comparison. 2) The table/desk is still a bit wobbly when finished. Anyone who thinks it is VERY "solid" and/or "stable" is fooling themselves. "Adequately stable" for most needs, is how I would describe it. It shakes a bit, but it does not sway. To be fair, perhaps there is really no way to prevent this without heavier tubes and/or corner braces (which I may add at the back and on the sides, later - I simply hate them on the front because they always become knee-knockers!). 3) Not necessarily the fault of the designers, but the adjustable feet sink into medium-pile carpet. You will get to 29-3/8" max on a hard floor - a bit more than they advertise, but you will hear the leg bolts clanking a bit at that extended height. TO BE FAIR, the vendor only advertises a height of 29.1" - so they are ACCURATE in that regard when sitting on medium-pile carpet. This is ONLY an issue if you are hoping to align to an adjacent surface and are hoping to squeak-out a bit of extra height - don't count on it on carpet. Above all, this is VERY LIGHTWEIGHT (unfortunately, due to the thin wall thickness of the tubes). I do not expect to be putting a lot of weight on this, myself. It really is not bad as an extended work surface for building models, organizing papers, using a small desktop computer or laptop. And it looks quite nice and clean. Only time will tell how well the surface holds up. It is 5/8" thick, by the way. ... show more

    • Best Desk I've Bought
I've had this desk for a while now and have to say it is one of the best pieces of furniture I've ever bought. When I first bought it I didn't think it was all that sturdy but it has held up many breakdowns, moves, and different uses. It held my entire setup comfortably with just one monitor and my PC on top. Then held up well with a dual monitor arm setup (with help from a 2x4 for extra support) and is now being used as a changing table. I've used it in a lot of different spaces and it has a nice size the only thing you could say is that it could be a bit deeper in width but only by a few inches honestly. ... show more

Although the top is 2 pieces, the wider board is in the front where you would write, and the skinnier board is in the back holding the monitors. The fact that the frame has a steel bar the full length of the seam makes it match perfectly without any sag. What I took to be plastic 90 degrees support brackets in the picture were actually steel. They are welded to the top and bolted to the leg making it very stable. Pay attention to the letter tags on the legs. They only go together one way where you have the bolt holes for the cross member under the seam in the correct place. They look the same but they are not. I am using it as an L shaped addition to my desk for another computer. I like that my dogs can walk underneath. ... show more

    • Go buy from Target or Wal-Mart (bad quality)
I've bought particle board desks that were more solid than this. The corners are held on with 4 tiny weld tacks (most of which are burned through). 2 of the 14 bolts were damaged, and 1 of the holes for the bolts were damaged. After tapping the holes and chasing the threads on the bolts assembly was easy enough, though the directions don't put to much emphasis on the orientation of the legs so that you can mount the bottom cross bars, but I didn't pay enough attention, so that's a 50/50 I think. Once assembled, this desk is flimsy. There is no lateral stability at all, and I'm pretty sure it's going to be returned soon, but I'm going to give it a try.. I bought this to hold a 3d printer and standard printer, but I'm pretty worried the side to side motion of both will eventually break this desk. Apart from stability, the legs were scuffed and dented, though the box was undamaged. The desk top also had 2 chips missing from it once I flipped it over (I left this on the styrofoam it shipped on for assembly, so this chip happened at some point before packaging). The edges of the laminate are white and stick out like a sore thumb at each seam. The more I type, the more I think I'm being too generous with 3 stars. ... show more
