I purchased 4 of these liners to compare. We're mostly car camping for the foreseeable future, and as I've gotten older I'm more sensitive to the cold, so I'm looking to add a few degrees to my 10° down bag. They all are plenty big and retained about the same amount of heat, raising the temp inside the bag with me inside about 5° after 15 minutes, (based on our smart thermostat sensor). The Redcamp was the beefiest by weight (1lb 9.4oz), by the zipper was so incredibly slick it moves on its own! No way it is staying zipped up all night. The Osage River was fine, basically the same as the Coleman but slightly lighter weight (1lb 1.8oz) and about $10 more. The Litume was the smallest and lightest weight (15.1oz), although it felt heaviest when draped on my legs. It's made from micro fleece with a smooth outer cover. It's really nice, and came in a high quality compression sack. But I don't think it adds any more heat than the others, and since I don't plan on doing any backpacking the weight and compression aren't of value to me. I ordered the zipper less version, so can't speak to durability of the zipper. The Coleman is about the same as the Osage River and Redcamp models, but was the cheapest AND was 1/3 the price of the Litume. The zipper is super beefy. It weighed in much heavier than the Osage River but only slightly behind Redcamp at 1lb 9oz. If the Litume was the same price or ithought I would use it for backpacking, I would probably go for it, but the Coleman is the clear winner for our current setup. ... show more

I was able to use a Coleman Stratus bag a few times last year, so I knew what I was getting when I made this purchase. Makes a good indoor or travel fleece bag or throw. Can be used by itself as a warm weather sleeping bag. Also makes a good bag supplement or blanket in combination with your regular sleeping bag when camping. Accurate and useful product description. Size regular: 75 inches long, 33 inches wide when zipped, so it fits those who are less than 6 feet tall. A 50 degree F minimum temperature rating when used by itself (just don’t expect to be “toasty warm” at that temperature). When used with your primary sleeping bag, improves your bag’s temperature rating by about 12 degrees F. Can be used as a liner for similar sized rectangular sleeping bags. Large enough to fit over a mummy style bag (much easier than trying to use it as a liner); as long as you have good wind protection from a tent, camper shell, trailer, or RV, there will be little or no loss of temperature performance when doing this. The 2 pound weight is consistent with the temperature performance claims. I am skeptical of other similar sized fleece bags that make the same temperature performance claims while weighing in at only about 1 pound. One of the best zippers I have ever found on a sleeping bag. Comes with a fairly tight stuff sack. Getting the bag back into the stuff sack after the first use took a little bit of experimentation. Zip the bag closed and lay it flat. Fold the bag width in thirds so that the folded width matches the length of the stuff sack. Fold the bag length in half. Roll from the middle to the end and secure with the elastic strap. Shove the rolled bag back into the stuff sack. ... show more

I started with just a coleman sleeping bag, but sometimes I would be cold using it as a blanket. I ended up adding this to the bag and never looked back. I use it in my truck so I don't have to bake myself out of the sleeper during winter time on the road. Come summertime I just use 2 of these together. It gives enough warmth that I can run a fan/ac to keep the compartment cool without being cold myself. Highly recommend this a general use blanket too. Very soft and comfortable sleeping bag insert. My sleeping bag was is rated for 35 degrees and we decided to go camping when it was getting down to about 24 at night. This sleeping bag insert definitely helped me stay warmer than it would have been without it. I won't say that I was totally comfortable and toasty, but it definitely saved me from having a miserable night. It's nice how it give a little cushion in your sleeping bag too and it can easily be paired with another to make a large blanket. It was rather difficult to keep it from twisting around in my sleeping bag because it twisted around easily and did not stay still if you moved around throughout the night. It did not seem to be too breathable which made me sweat periodically which just made the crazy cold worse.... Overall it works and is definitely cheaper than brands such as thermarest. It does its job, but I wouldn't exactly take it on a backpacking trip due to its bulky size. If it was crazy cold again I would definitely use it once more. ... show more

I did not buy these as sleeping bag liners, but as replacements for my kids’ sleeping bags when we visit the coast or friend’s homes. We only use them indoors, but they are thick and warm. They also roll up tightly so it is easy to throw them in the trunk and transport them. They also wash up very well. They are worth the money. I looked at others offered on Amazon, but the Coleman’s had the most satisfied customers. After buying one to test out, I bought two more because they are so nice. Don’t hesitaste to purchase these if you are looking for a lightweight, warm indoor bag. And I would think they would be an excellent sleeping bag liner that would keep you nice and toasty outdoors, as well. ... show more
