If you read the labels at the grocery store, most of the olive oil you can buy comes from several different countries. Each country, each grove, will have its own distinctive flavor. At least with this particular brand you are getting 100% Italian olive oil. What you are not getting necessarily are olive from the same grove. For that you have to order directly from Italy. This is a very good 'second best'.

This is a fantastic high quality extra virgin olive oil. I have used this oil for years and it is simply the best. I buy these tins and keep them in my pantry to refill the smaller Colavita bottles in my kitchen at home. It's much more cost effective and you're still getting an amazing olive oil at a great price. This particular version of Colavita is sourced exclusively from olives in Italy. You know you have a quality olive oil when you can sip a teaspoon of it and it burns the back of your throat a bit because of the high concentration of oleocanthal. This oil isn't cut with soy or corn like those cheap knock off oils you find from other companies trying to sell you their version of extra virgin olive oil.

Much of the grocery store as well as organic market olive oil is a blend of oil from many different countries. It is okay for cooking and is not very expensive. The Colavita Premium Extra Virgin olive oil is the real deal. Pure and light with a slightly peppery finish. Excellent for dipping with crusty bread or will salads. And, of course, for cooking. If you have never had 100 percent Italian olive, give this a try. It is a good bet, you will never go back to the blends.

We've used this oil for years - it's our favorite, and this was a good price. However, it arrived with the can badly dented. We can use it with no problem, but had it been dented more, it might have leaked. For this reason I rated "presentation" poorly, but the problem is not with the product, but the shipping.

This is the Best olive oil. My 1st order was Amazing. As you can see from the 2nd order pictures, it was very Damaged. The shipping box was ok but the product itself was bent all up. So disappointing the 2nd time. Hopefully the next order will be better.

Excellent quality olive oil. Delicious full flavor and very good value for the money. Also it's 100% Italian, not a mix from different countries as you see so often nowadays.

This is the finest olive oil I have every had. I love flavor but not "grassy" like most California Olive oil. Be sure and order this Italian oil. The Mediterranean is cheaper, but not as powerful. Update 8/2018 - still ordering on an "as needed" basis. I've been using a lot of avocado oil for some things because of it's higher smoke point and tastelessness. This olive oil is the best.
