Great, fun way to make camp and fire pit snacks
Style: Single Cooker
I love these things! Pies are easy to make and taste great. Use caution as they maintain heat for quite a while, even after after cooking. Also, definitely take care to properly season your pie iron before use. It comes with a booklet that explains that process. I seasoned mine in the oven for better control of temperature. The handles unscrew from the plates making it possible to do so. Bottom line: this is a good buy. Also, you're going to want a jar of apple pie seasoning, some brown sugar, and some applesauce ;) ... show more

New favorite camping tool
Style: Single Cooker
We used these in a wood burning stove in a cabin. While there were some hot spots just because the stove opening wouldn’t allow for ideal positioning, overall they cooked great. I love them! Make sure you use cooking spray or butter. (But the corner I missed cleaned up pretty easily once cooled)

Bought multiple of these for camping
Style: Single Cooker
They work well enough but they are somewhat difficult to clean especially while camping. I still would recommend based on other products out there in the market.

Style: Single Cooker
I unscrewed the heads ,cleaned ,rubbed with crisco , and seasoned in 500 degree oven .After reassembling, we enjoyed making different hot sandwiches and dessert pockets. To clean ,soaked heads in sink, then cleaned , and reoiled. They are a great addition to our camp fire suppers

Good pie baker
Style: Single Cooker
It is a great product. We have had a chance to use it a couple of times and it works like a champ. The only criticism is that it doesn't close super smoothly. But, it works, you just have to pay attention while closing it.

Outdoor people understand
Style: Single Cooker
Just like any outdoor tool, you have to maintain it. This cooker will last a very long time if you keep it cleaned and re-season it often. As with any cast iron cooker the more you use it the better it gets. I bought this set for my (still learning) son and his wife. Its funny to watch them come up with so many combinations. Thinking about buying two more to keep up with the demand around the campfire. ... show more
