    • The best instructions and assembly I've seen
Just to be clear, this isn't a simple assembly, but they provide absolutely comprehensive instructions and label EVERYTHING for you. You can't mess up the install, they do such a great job. Overall assembly went smooth, and one person can do the install by themselves. They provide all the tools necessary, but we found that it's best to use your own for a few parts. We used an electric drill (on low speed with the clutch brake dialed WAY down so it didn't strip anything). Also for the screw-in latches (the little circular "nuts" that go inside a slot to grab onto screws from another part), we found that the provided screwdriver was just a little bit too small, so we used a full size screwdriver of our own and they tightened right up. Overall, really pleased with this product. It took a little while for it to arrive (it's not a prime direct item), but I mean, in this age of instant gratification, we could all probably use a little bit of realistic expectations in our lives and wait a little while for something to arrive. Everything arrived fine from shipping, no problems there, but only gripe we have is that at some point during shipping or transport to our house, little bits of styrofoam seem to have broken apart and gotten in between the pieces, so there was just teeny bits of flat styrofoam all over stuck to the pieces. Easy fix, just wiping it down after, and if that's the worst thing about a product, then we're doing pretty good. ... show more

Assembly is pretty straight forward if you follow the instructions. I did have some trouble getting the legs to screw on. I think the threads were not as well tapped and required some effort to get one of them started. The fit and finished is not as good as I would like it to be. The tabletop moves fairly easily but has some wobble when moving up and down. They give you stickers to put over the exposed screw holes, but not any extra ones. They do provide some extra parts in case something is missing. I did use some battery powered tools to assemble but verified tightness with included tools. We use it mostly for eating on in the living room and it works great for that. It is not a very large table as expected from the description. ... show more

This took a bit of effort to put together. There are quite alot of screws. It does come with the hand tools necessary but I used some power screw drivers to do most of the work. It was all numbered in bags and the panels as well. It does take some time in assembly. The table extends about 2 feet from the ground when open. The pneumatic tubes take a little lifting with 2 hands but aftward it pretty much glides itself. It looks quite nice and fills my needs. I think I wish the table extended a little higher but it's high enough to serve food without reaching down. It has a soft.close so there isn't a lot of banging when putting the top away. It is fairly heavy. The table is heavy enough to keep it grounded. Coffeetable is lower than I expected but it has its modern charm. ... show more

    • Functional with lots of storage
I have a similar coffee table in my living room and it has been very helpful in keeping that area looking neat and tidy. It cost me a hefty $150 so in comparison, this one is a 5-star despite it not being great material, as the price point aligns with that. With that being said, it is a great functional piece of furniture and it's final resting place be on my patio or my bedroom reading nook. Installation was very easy with the clear guided and labeled instruction manual and it didn't take too long. The lift top is easily lifted with the nook at both ends of the table which also helps to prevent any accidents with the fingers. I like that the it auto closes at the end, again, preventing any accidental nicks to the finger. The separation of the lift and end side of the table is also a plus for me. The entire top of my other table lifts but this one allows the lifting of the lid without having to completely remove items like a vase or risk them falling off while lifting. The right end of the table is also separated, so as shown, you can decorate the outer end and use the inner side for storing other things, like a remote, for quick and easy retrieval. Another difference with my other coffee table is that it has a lower shelf which means that cleaning is not very easy, not even my roomba can go under, so it's constant moving to clean but this alleviates that with its 8 inches leg height.     • Complex assembly but worth it
This is by means a simple assembly But the seller makes it easier because they explain everything clearly and label everything correctly. They did provide the tools but I used my own since I'm used to them. The assembly took some time (45 mins) but I had no problems putting it together by myself following the instructions. The table itself is sturdy until you lift the liftop portion of it. Then it becomes a little bit wobbly because the hinges holding it are not strong enough.
