Floating fish basket was used this past week and performed as detailed. Had 5 rainbow trout in it and room for more. Construction is good but wonder how it will last long-term, to be determined. Wish it was a 6 foot rope or cord to hook to the dock or point on the bank when fishing.

This fish basket works well. The float keeps the basket up on the water. We keep a rope on it to tie to the side of the pontoon. The basket wire is strong. The bottom spring to keep the fish in works well when opened to remove the fish.

I purchased the floating style fish basket. I never used it until today. I went fishing and caught the biggest yellow perch I ever seen. I placed it with another 2 fish in the basket and hung it over the side of my boat. The basket at first seemed to be well made. I purchased it a while ago, but this was the first time using it. When I went to put another fish in the basket, I notice my other fish were gone including my giant yellow perch! Turns out the "floating" lid was not sealed properly from the factory and filled with water which cause the lid to open and let my fish out. I am extremely disappointed. Stay away from the floating style fish basket so this doesn't happen to you. Now I am stuck with a worthless fish basket that cost me one of the largest yellow perch I ever caught in my life! ... show more
