This fish basket works well. The float keeps the basket up on the water. We keep a rope on it to tie to the side of the pontoon. The basket wire is strong. The bottom spring to keep the fish in works well when opened to remove the fish.

Floating fish basket was used this past week and performed as detailed. Had 5 rainbow trout in it and room for more. Construction is good but wonder how it will last long-term, to be determined. Wish it was a 6 foot rope or cord to hook to the dock or point on the bank when fishing.

I bought this item to replace one I had used for 40 years. On the first use the fish broke a hole through the mesh and escaped(crappies). On inspection. the wire mesh was much finer than my old basket. Poor quality, would not buy again/
