purchased this item to refill another brand of room diffuser bottle. the smell is pleasant and not overwhelming. however, i think my room is too big so the smell is overly diffused. I will likely return to the other more expensive brand since it was refreshing to walk into a room that smelled nice but not too perfumey. this may work better in a smaller space (e.g., bathroom) but not for a larger room (e.g. living room)

I was so looking forward to the black cherry smell, but it just smells woodsy. Reminds me of the fragrance that ultra-rich old ladies wear with their evening gowns to the Oscars. Eww, ick. And it's not oily, so it evaporates really quickly. I gave it three stars because I'm sure there's someone out there who likes that fragrance, and maybe I'm the odd man out. I do realize there's no accounting for taste, and my taste might just be a little (or a lot) off. I should have bought the single bottle first. The box it came in is pretty though, and I do like the black reeds. Just my humble opinion.
