Purchased to use for iced espressos rather than cocktails. Love the size and look of it, it works well and the straining feature at the top is nice. The metal gives it a clean sleek look that matches the rest of our kitchen. However, not a fan of how cold it gets when you add ice- I have to wrap it in a towel so I can hold it without my hands freezing. Frost on shaker shown in picture above. Same issue for hot liquid as well (espresso). I'd assume one would run into similar issues when making cocktails. Other than getting too cold for my liking, it works well.

As you can imagine, powdered chai in cold milk doesn't make the best drink. And no amount of shaking in my reusable plastic Starbucks cup with my finger over the drinking hole would disperse the chai clumps. Or create that yummy vanilla foam that my favorite coffee (chai) stand always has. But I had the bright idea one night that I should try a cocktail shaker. So the next day it comes in and I immediately try it. I don't think I even washed it first I was so excited. I should have though. But anyway I pour some ice in, dump a scoop of chai, and fill it up with milk. Shake her up. And wonder why I didn't get one of these years ago. It's not coffee stand level good, but it's better than my rinky dink Starbucks shaker.

Sturdy shaker, cover fits snugly yet easy to remove. Drinks come out ice cold when shaken well, on ice. The container does get frosty cold so may want to use a hand towel while shaking. Washes easily with no water spots left when dry. Jump scare warning: Avoid replacing the cap while the shaker is still ice cold or it may pop off unexpectedly. 😆
