I got this cloth because I previously got one through a set but needed an additional to use on my black loafers. The original cloth has been used on my tan loafers, and using the same cloth for two very different colors of polish is not a good idea. That said, this is a very simple but effective microfiber cloth that is very easy to use to polish shoes with and can easily be cleaned either in the wash or a rinse in the sink (if you go the washing machine route, I strongly recommend washing it separately from other items.) Cobblers Choice really went above and beyond for something as simple as a microfiber cloth. These has an incredibly soft almost terry cloth feeling to it, definitely a more premium material than your run of the mill microfiber. It holds polish/oil well and is extremely simply to use. The stitching along the seems is very well done as well as along the logo patch, which really stands out against the white cloth and adds a nice aesthetic touch. This cloth is very nice, and does what it claims to do quite well. I have a horsehair brush that I use for polishing, but to really put a glossy shine on shoes, it's hard to beat a quality microfiber, and that's exactly what this is. I've only used it with wax polish, so I can't speak to its effectiveness with cream polishes, but it should do well with just about anything you throw at it. I haven't noticed any lint coming off of the cloth either, so it's clearly well made. My only gripe is the price. $10 for one cloth just seems too high, when I've used automotive microfibers that are around $1 each to do the same job in the past. No, they don't have a nice hemmed edge or slick badging, but they do the job relatively well, so if not for Amazon Vine providing this product for free, I never would have tried it. However, if you're into high-end shoe care and you want a dedicated, purpose-built product to add to your kit, this will definitely fill that role well. ... show more

I use this every day on my work boots before I leave for work. It gives me just enough shine on my security boots to keep them clean after walking through dusty environments all day. It's a handy size and seems quite durable.

I used this microfiber shoe shine cloth on two sets of Allen Edmunds men's shoes using Saphir products. This is a very nice quality microfiber cloth with deep pile and a soft finished edging. It's easy to use and shines shoes very well with good product retention, no smudges. There are two takeaways for me - one is the value for money. I have a lot of nice microfibers I use for various reasons (automotive, cleaning, etc.) and while this cloth is certainly good quality I think it's pretty expensive for a single item. The second item is the sewn on badge which lessens the usefulness of this microfiber by decreasing the usable surface area. Maybe it looks classy, but not functional. ... show more

I never thought I'd like a microfiber cloth so much - but this is a really nice one. It's dense and has some heft to it. It's very soft, which makes it a great cleaning and polishing cloth. In my opinion, it's much easier to get an even application of waxy products or do an even job of buffing if you have a denser cloth. It's also easier to keep more of the product on your shoes and off of your hands. But this one also works well on its own to quickly shine up smooth and shiny leathers without any product. Its ample size makes it easy to hold and use. I really like having a dedicated cloth for my shoes - one that doesn't have residue of kitchen grease, household cleaner or grit lingering in it. I guess some people might feel that using a separate cloth just for your shoes helps to protect the cleanliness of all of the other stuff in your house. Cobbler’s Choice Shoe Shine Cloth (Microfiber) The Good: Soft microfiber material that works well for polishing and buffing shoes without scratching. Easy to use and reusable after washing. The OK: It’s a basic item—no extras, just does what it’s supposed to. That’s the beauty of it. Could Be an Issue: If you’re expecting a thicker or more premium cloth, this is lightweight. Functionality: Good for shoes, but also works for general polishing and cleaning. Great material that shined the shoes up which I’ve not done in years 😂 This also cleans my glasses and it’s big enough cloth that it’s easy to hang on to. The material of this microfiber shoe shine cloth is very soft and has a nicely stitched edge to it all the way around the perimeter. This will keep it from fraying which can happen when used frequently. Eventually, all cloths will wear out but the binding on this cloth looks and feels like it will last a long time. It has a good bit of stretch in one direction which makes it perfect for getting a nice and taut pull while buffing shoes. It did a great job when buffing a pair of my leather shoes without leaving any scratches. I've included a photo showing how I folded up the cloth to about 3.5 inches wide so using that stretch along the length of the cloth so that it could be made taut while buffing. Because of the way microfiber is made one direction will have more stretch than the other direction which will usually have either a very small amount or none. I'm glad that this is machine washable as well. I would recommend this. ... show more
