I really like this island! We bought it to put in our farm-house styled kitchen, and it looks GREAT! Shipped in two separate boxes--the top in one and the base in the other. The base comes fully assembled, so the box is quite large and heavy--be ready for that. I actually liked that it came fully assembled because, well, less work for me! The contrasting colors of the top from bottom look chic and make it easier to match with other items in the are where you put it. Lots of storage space. The construction is pretty good, but we did notice a few spots where the pieces did not line up correctly or had a gap between boards. But that was not enough for me to even take a star off of the rating. Overall very happy with this! ... show more

I looked everywhere for an island that you could eat at on all 4 sides. This one definitely fit the bill. It looks great with the black leather stools we also bought on Amazon. It came assembled with just a few things to do, like set the top on and screw on the handles. It has storage all the way around and is a beautiful piece of furniture!     • Incomplete
I did not receive box 1 of 2. I called the manufacturer who told me to call Amazon. According to Amazon, they only received one tracking number from the manufacturer and the manufacturer doesn’t offer to send out piece by piece. So after waiting 3 weeks for this table and 1.5 weeks away from a house warming party I am left without a table. Amazon will be picking it up and only offering me a refund when it’s picked up so I’m also out of the money for probably a week. I’m probably going to order again because I really like it but at this point I’m just going to keep researching. I am so disappointed! ... show more

Beautiful piece of furniture..worth the price I think. Be aware it is heavy so putting on the feet is only difficult due to weight but it's a stunner.

It is a very heavy and good looking piece of furniture. I think that it is a LITTLE bit cheaply prefabbed, but as long as you don't treat it too roughly, it should last for a while. The wood is a bit thin in some areas and there were a couple of scratches when I got it. Another reviewer said the top scratches easily, so I am just very careful about what I place on the table and use runners and placemats. Overall, it is a good piece of furniture for the price with a lot of storage room for dishes or whatever. I like that it is a bar height table but also has a kind of early Americana appeal to it. ... show more
