This set of two chairs was packed like a mummy. Arrived in perfect condition. It took about 1 hour to unwrap the parts and 1 hour to put both chairs together. Instructions were terrific. Very, very, very easy to follow. I read previous reviews about poor packing and difficulty in putting chairs together. Obviously they have upgraded the packing and instructions. If you can put together an Ikea product, you can set up these chairs. Super simple. One observation: these are NOT solid wood chairs. They are some type of composite, particleboard with a wood veneer. Still the chairs look great!!! In fact they look very expensive. We had a large dinner party and everyone commented on the wonderful chairs. They are perfect for counter height. As an added bonus, these chairs were not made in China. Imagine a product today that is not made in China. If you are thinking about these chairs, buy them. I am extremely fussy about furniture and these chairs are a fantastic bargain.     • Nice Coaster chairs
I was looking for some chairs for my counterweight table which wouldn't cost too much. I saw this chair on Amazon which was probably the best deal so far. I hadn't never bought furniture online, but this chair looks nice so I gave it a try. I bought a set of two first. They came as I expected, rich capuchino color and sturdy. I wish the cushion was a little better quality, but I bought it for about $53/chair including shipping (so it's not a big deal). The price for this set of chairs (on Coaster) vary about $5-$15 during the week, so you should check on it some time before buying when it's cheaper. The shipping took about 10 days to arrive. Overall these are very nice chairs and not hard to assemble. I decided to get 2 more sets a couple weeks ago from Coaster. (The packing wasn't so bad at all, and I did not see any discoloring or damage on the chairs). ... show more

    • Very nice looking Chairs
The quality and finish are very good. I like the deep cappuccino and the smooth and nice finish. The wood is of moderate weight and does not feel cheap. The seat pads could have been better - rather stiff. The entire set of 8 chairs was shipped to me wrapped in plastic wrap. There's 2 chairs to a box - so 4 boxes. The boxes were delivered dirty - and it was just from shipping but more from sitting in a warehouse for years. A couple of the boxes where also damaged but the contents was not, thanks to the form cushion surrounding the chairs inside the box. Assembly of the chairs was not hard but laborious. The assembly / instruction diagram page was not the best and really needs so work to be more useful. The biggest issue I had with assemblying the chairs, where getting them to balance and not rock/wooble. The instruction page does not mention that you should not tighten the squares as you go. If you do, the chairs will not be level. You have to evenly tightened the screws for the legs in a particular order; without ever overly tightening one leg before another. Very time consuming, I can tell you that I did not do all of them in a single sitting. Wish assemblying the legs and frame was easier. There are no grooves in the pad. You just have to hold them down and screw into the soft wood in the bottom. Overall, I am quite pleased with the look and quality of the chairs. I ordered these chairs for my kitchen and was very impressed with the quality of the wood. They were easy to put together and very stylish-looking. The price was great and they were nice and sturdy. Unfortunately, I had to return them because they were too low for my kitchen counter. They do measure more like counter height rather than bar height which is what I was looking for.     • Nice Chairs but Poor Packaging
Pros: These chairs are worth much more than what I paid. Stylish and goes well with my other furniture. I purchased 4 counter height and 2 bar height chairs. First one took about 25 minutes to assemble. 2-6 took about 15 minutes each. Well made chairs. Cons: Not square if you are not careful. Trick is to loosely attach all the parts, bolts and screws (except the seat). Then stand it up on a hard flat surface and tighten everything with some pressure from the top. Mine are sitting on hardwood floors and so I used felt padding at the bottom of each leg - that's another way to level out the chairs. Packaging: Simply horrible! All the boxes arrived with some damage and a couple of the legs arrived with the stain worn off from rubbing. I fixed it with some stain but one should not have to do that for new products. The manufacturer should spend $5 more for better packaging materials and raise the price by $5 if needed. At these prices, that's still one heck of a deal. I gave this product 3 stars only because of the poor packaging. Otherwise it is a solid 5. ... show more
