I did not have high expectations for this paddle especially with one other review but I love it! It is so cute and the small handle is perfect for my small hand. The quality is better than a few other paddles I’ve tried and is light rather than heavy for power which I prefer. Highly recommend!!

These paddles are just what we were looking for. An easy his and hers set that feel great. We’re just getting into pickle ball and our friends (seasoned vets) recommended these for their price point, thankful the quality is great too. Now we’re playing all the time!

I used this paddle for four games and about two hours of practice both on the court and against a practice wall. I have tried quite a few pickleball paddles in the last five months and I find this Coastal Sports paddle to be in about the middle of the pack. It has a nice big sweet spot and in the whole time I played, I didn't have any dead hits. To me, this is the most important consideration when choosing a paddle, so big props here. The paddle face is only slightly textured, but this hardly matters at my skill level. Putting spin on the ball is somewhere in my future. The paddle is very light though, in fact it is the lightest paddle that I own. While this may provide some extra control, it does mean that I have to swing harder for bigger hits. I personally would prefer a heavier paddle. This can be rectified with paddle weights though, so it's not a big deal. The handle wrapping material is a little on the thin side, but it feels good in the hand and never got slippery on me. The handle is also a bit narrow, I have bigger hands, so would prefer something bigger but my teenage grandson thought it was great. I do like that it is more oval than round which makes it easier to get the paddle facing properly. The paddle seems to be constructed well and the edge guard feels firmly attached. I got the light blue paddle and I really like the looks of it. It is very distinctive even though it is has no graphics. I have only seen a few paddles with white edging and tape and none of them were this shade of blue. The biggest problem with this paddle though is that contrary to advertising, it is not on the USAPA approved list of paddles at the time of this review. As far as I can tell, it meets the USAPA specifications, it is just not on the list. It's probably only a timing thing and it will show up in the next few weeks. I will update this review if I see it listed. For most players, this isn't going to be a problem anyway, but if you are playing in a tournament, it could become an issue. Overall, I think this is a decent paddle for the beginner to intermediate pickleball player. At this price point though, I would recommend either the PKBL Launch or the Gamma Micron 5.0 which are both USAPA approved and, in my opinion, better paddles. ... show more

We got this as an extra paddle for pick-up games with friends. What caught my eye initially is that it has a distinctive color and isn’t obnoxious like some paddles. Upon receiving, it is definitely a lightweight paddle with a good size sweet spot. It’s a great paddle for beginners or intermediate players. The reason for 4 stars is the value for your money. There is a lot of price gouging with Pickleball right now, so shop around to find the best value. ... show more
