The lights were simple to install once the grille was removed. They lined up perfectly giving the truck a great looking appearance. The only problem that took me longer to fix was aiming the headlights once the install was complete. I used a Phillip head screwdriver to properly aim the lights (no problem there) but because of the angle I had to do it by hand which took me an extra 20-30 minutes per light. The end result was worth the money and time. I would highly recommend these replacement headlights to brighten the darkness of night driving ... show more

We received the set of headlights in a speedy fashion. However one of them were broken. Tried to go through Amazon but the options didn’t include broken items and we needed to install them. My husband made them work.

Well. I'm revising my review. Unfortunately, while I do really like the style of these lights, I have had to return them. I'm my initial review I explained the issue with the marker light locking tab and what I did to get the lights to seal tightly even though they still wouldn't lock. I was prepared to live with that issue, for me it wasn't a deal breaker. However, I installed these over the weekend and checked rough beam alignment on the shop door after dark. It appeared pretty good and the tag attached to the headlight hiding said they shipped set in the middle of the adjustable range at the OEM default value. I did not drive my truck until the next evening when I had to go get my daughter from the airport. I pulled out of my drive and as soon as I hit pavement I realized there was a HUGE issue. I'm very rural, so at 9pm it's really dark, with low beams on the lights were aimed pretty much down on the asphalt in front of me about 10-15 feet out. My fog lights had better beam distance. I thought, no big deal, I'll turn around and go grab a hex key from the shop and adjust them up. Well, I grab the hex key and pop the hood and start on the left adjuster--well that's weird, it's already at its maximum up position, not the middle as they claimed. So I go to the right one thinking there just must be something wind with the left one and I'll tackle it when I have time, but, you guessed it, the right one was already set to maximum up angle as well... So now I'm really in a pickle. I have to be at an airport 2 hours away in about an hour and forty five minutes. I thought that I guess I could put the stock lights back on for the drive, but the halos on these lights get permanently wired and I didn't want to have to cut them out in a hurry in the middle of the night. I ended up cutting up some pieces of pool noodle and wedging then I'm between the trim and the bottom of the light. No joke, this propped the bottom of the housing up 1.5 inches, plus adjusters were still maxed out and this combination brought the beams up roughly where they should be. I drive 4 hours like this and not one single person flashed me. So I know they weren't adjusted to high, I actually think they were still a bit too low. I the threw my stock lights in the back of the truck just in case the pool noodles didn't ride. I figured worst case I'd cut the halos and deal the lights at a rest stop if I needed. I was still hoping that the problem was going to be sometime simple to fix. I thought maybe I could shim up or modify the mounts to get them aimed higher. Once the dust settled, I took one light out and compared it to my stock lights adjuster. I thought maybe if he able to swap the factory mechanism over. The factory adjusters have probably 3-4 times more travel than these but there was no way to retrofit the OEM parts without taking the lenses off and doing serious surgery. I investigated possibly modifying the mounting points, but with the pool noodles in place the body lines were awful with pay if the light actually being so high it was up under the lip of the hood. That is the point where I pulled it all back out and reinstalled the stock housing and requested a return. When I pulled them, I also realized that the lower tabs are super rubbery and no where near stiff enough for long term use. I'm actually pretty hacked about the entire thing. It took the better pay off an afternoon to install these and wire in the halos with weather tight connections. Not only was it a huge waste of time, but these are downright dangerous. If I weren't so rural with so little ambient light, I may have never noticed the issue until I'd made it to a dark section of interstate. This could have ended very badly. I did manage to get to the airport in time to pick up my daughter, but I was worried and it was a pretty close call. I would very much recommend against anyone purchasing this product. I actually would recommend Amazon remove it from their catalog before someone gets hurt. ... show more
