I previously purchased a Lunyee 3018 Pro Max CNC router. I was very impressed with the quality of this CNC router and the customer service. So, when I decided to upgrade to a larger CNC router, I had no hesitation purchasing from Lunyee again. The 4040 Pro is definitely larger than the 3018 Pro by three times. Overall dimensions are 29 inches wide (knob to knob) and 27 inches deep (back to outside of control box). I gained so much more in working space but requires much more shop space to operate. I now have plenty of space for my project and the clamps to hold it down, which greatly expands my project possibilities. The 3018 Pro is a great little CNC router however, it is little. Although my projects were small, I still had a few issues with project size and room for the clamps. The larger 4040 Pro machine is more stable than the 3018 Pro and I do not have to clamp it down due to the vibration, like I had to with the 3018 Pro. The assembly seemed easier than the 3018 Pro. Not as complicated and no wires to run, just plug them in. I would recommend using the online assembly video, it is more detailed than the included instruction book. I like the enclosed control box being located on the front of the machine, much easier access. Everything you need to start engraving is included. The software and instructions are included in the provided thumb drive along with v-bits, clamps, wrenches and more. Speaking of clamps, they screw into threaded inserts in the MDF base. I could see that if enough pressure is applied, you could potentially pull the inserts out. However, I think that would require an excessive amount of pressure, at this point, so I am not too concerned. This CNC performs well in my tests and is accurate. It will cut exactly as instructed, so if there is a problem, it usually isn't the machine, it is due to the instructions it is being sent from the laptop. That being said, the most difficult part is learning the software, as I and others have stated. I would recommend Lunyee 4040 Pro CNC router to others as a solid, well-built machine with plenty of space for your projects. I am pleased that I upgraded to this larger machine and do not feel as limited as with the 3018 Pro, which is a great CNC router that I still recommend.

I have been back and forth with product support from day one. The pre assaembled gantry arrived with flat spots on the rollers that rotating could not rectify (one quad was overly tight) It took a few days of back-and-forth for support to understand I knew how to rotate wheels to try and minimize flat spots. 2 weeks later I received new wheels. Initial tests looked good until I tried to mill my first job. Simple set of gears in 1/2" Baltic birch. Started out with a sanity check using less expensive 5-ply. Failed every job. Would eventually skip at the y-axis when cutting the gear profiles. Stepper motors were cool to the touch so not an issue of over driving. G-code was produced by Carveco and control was fed by Candle. Cannot recommend this cnc.

i got my 4040 a few days ago and after setting it up the left y-axis motor was stuttering and moving out of sync, i contacted their support on whatsapp and they helped me diagnose the issue, turns out 3 pins on the plug on the control board side came loose, after fixing this they assured me that they would look into this issue and secure the pins with glue in the future. anyway, now that the y-axis moves smoothly the whole machine works better than i expected.

Wow am I excited this morning. The Amazon Prime Delivery Person just delivered my new Lunyee 4040 Pro CNC Router. I could not wait to open the box and put this baby together. The first thing I noticed was how well packaged is was. First things first I did a quick read of the well put together Users Manuel. I was very excited to fine over 50% of the machine had been pre-assembled at the factory which made final assembly very easy. With the detailed Users Manual it only took 45 minutes and I was doing a final operational check. The 4040 is massive. With it's massive 15.74" x 15.74" x 3.54" (400 x 400 x 90 mm) work space to it's front mounted Control Center. This All Metal construction frame is as "Solid As A Rock". Its Limit Switches and Emergency Stop Button helps protect my investment. The Z-Probe, Reset Button, Offline Connection all up front for east access. The work lights mounted under the X Rail and Acrylic Dust Baffles to help contain dust to the work area is an example of Lunyee"s Forward Thinking. This is my third Lunyee Product and all have one thing in commend, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Lunyee by fare is the leader in Customer Service. They take a real interest in you,, your machine and your problem. It takes a lot to empress a 70 year old man confined to a wheelchair but I'm blown away with their service. Take it from me these people are "The She Cat's Meow" Give them a try, I think you will be Wowed to. Pictured is my first Project on the 4040.

There was an issue at the beginning with shipping, some damage, but Lunyee bent over backwards to make it right! The Lunyee 4040 is a great machine and I now have 2 of them!! I highly recommend this CNC router to anybody whether just starting or a seasoned pro. 5 stars from me! Thank you!

Having the best reviews, I bought this for a job I had, (note: not hobby fun). Supplied software was antique and wouldn't run on my Mac min M2 or my Linux computer. Links on flash drive were broken. Mechanically I think it is a very rigid machine but the on/off button didn't work and the MDF worktop mounting holes were off (which I would've fixed if not for the above issues. In fairness, the sellers were very responsive with "fixes"; a .dmg software package and a video. My problem is this, If they have that, why is it not included in the package??? I spent too many hours trying to get it to work when it should have been simple with the right resources. Oh, the non functioning on/off switch was never addresed. If you like fiddling with your purchases, I think this would would be a good CNC router. If you wnat to hook it up and use it, well.....
