Before you order ANY motor for your fireplacd, be sure to check the RPMs on the old motor, so your flame doesn't turn too slow or too fast. This one is 15-18 RPMs and that is a perfect speed. As with most, if not all, motors like this, they turn clockwise (cw) or counter clockwise (ccw). That means you might turn it on and your flame is going down instead of up. No problem.     • Works well, pretty easy to install.
Bought this to replace a burnt out motor in my electric insert fireplace. Install is fairly straight forward. The shaft was a little long but I modified it to fit. This motor is louder than the OEM model. The CW/CCW rotation is random so sometimes the flames roll in reverse. This is easily fixed by turning it on and off a couple time. Overall, satisfied with the purchase. Beat spending $300 + dollars on a new unit. ... show more
