This has quickly become one of our favorites. As a family that plays a lot of more heavy strategy board games, we love that it has a good balance of chance with some strategy as well. It's a nice, more relaxed game that we can play when we have less time or just don't want to think as much. The simultaneous play means less time spent just sitting and waiting for others. It is creative and well thought out. The first time, things seem a bit intimidating since there are a lot of different components and it can be a bit much to explain, but once you start playing it really is quite basic. Tons of fun! Would definitely recommend!

Games can be hit our miss with our family, but this one is great! Rules are pretty easy to learn, even for younger kids. Trying not to blow up while still getting as many ingredients as you can into your pot is really fun!

My children (and me) really like this board game. It has a higher focus on the element of chance, making the play highly engaging even for small children, but it also has a complex element of understanding the statistics and selecting a good strategy, increasing probability of success (but not to 100%, maintaining a fun-to-play game for both adults and children). Only drawback is that after several months, the white chips become worn-out, making them easily distinguishable from the colored one and therefore making the game unfair.

Very fun to play. Very frustrating when you keep pulling the F&*KING CHERRY BOMBS for the first few ingredients! I've since printed some "storage crates" for the ingredients, which have a nice ingredient book holder built in, which makes keeping things separated in the box easy-peasy, and makes it a lot easier for the players to see what ingredients are available. Don't hesitate -- add this to your board game shelf now!

I have an average IQ. No doubt about it and I have no problem admitting it. I do have an abundance of common sense and find most things easy to learn. Upon opening the "novel" that accompanies this game and starting at the beginning, I soon realized that I was not up to the task. Enter son in law extraordinaire! I read him the directions, then had to re read them and we both looked at each other and said... what??? Time to re read again. Grandson came along and we all tried to interpret what we had read and how to set it up.. After a good hour, we finally were able to start playing the game!! And .... it was fun!! I definitely enjoyed it and will play it again. My grandson (11 years) and my son in law feel the same. So... I do recommend this game, but with a caveat. Be patient and if you struggle like we did, don't feel bad. You are smart and you will figure it out! I promise!! Then you can enjoy the game as well!! :-)
