Description

This blade features a thin kerf, which makes it ideal for saws that are a bit underpowered, but at the same time this tool delivers great performance. You will be satisfied with the excellent price/quality ratio. The laser cut heavy-duty blade plate is hardened to allow for great resistance (46-48 Rockwell in hardness) and features expansion slots to reduce noise and anti-vibration design. The teeth are made of micrograin carbide to ensure long-lasting cutting performance and deliver smooth cut on wood and wood products. These are brazed to the blade body through a special trimetallic bond (copper-silver-copper), so that longer cut performance and resistance are guaranteed. Blade is delivered in a unique CMT plastic case. From the Manufacturer This tool is a great choice for your all-around "workhorse" blade. With 42 precision ground micrograin carbide teeth, it produces a high-quality cut in almost any wood or composite, and with CMT's new ITK technology, it delivers those cuts with an absolute minimum of stock waste and demand on your saw. Of course, thin kerf performance is only one of the advantages of CMT's ITK line. You'll also get Anti-Kickback Design, Tri- Metal Brazing, and Laser Cut Arbors and Plates, plus permanently laser-marked safety instructions and complete resharpening instructions.

I bought this blade to replace the factory blade that came with my recently purchased table saw. This blade is very well made, has solid carbide attached and cuts everything I have passed over the saw like butter. I was not sure what to expect as I could feel a vibration when I used the factory blade...this one is way better balanced, no vibration at all. I also noted it is much quieter when cutting. The saw also does not bog down when rippling strips of 2x4 inch lumber for trimming. The size is perfect, the blade balanced and extremely sharp with a near mirror finish and no paint to transfer. It cuts through hardwoods, oak and ash with no issues...clean with no tearing at all. While it does feel like it cuts smoother, it seems like it is as about as fast as the original 40T blade that I started with. I tend to not force my wood through my saws as I favor clean and accurate cuts over getting things done in a rush. ... show more

    • Cuts through hardwoods fast and smooth

I bought this blade to replace my Diablo 80 tooth cross cut blade. That blade was ok. But cut slow and after only a few hundred cuts was tearing out on cross cuts and burning very badly. I'll admit I did not clean it regularly like I should be and I'm sure general performance would improve if I did. But Lord after I swapped the blade to the CMT 48 tooth I was surprised to see how well my miter saw could actually cut with the right blade. My very first test cut was long grain on 1 1/5 thick white oak and it just fell through the material like it wasn't even there. And the cut finish is so much better than the Diablo blade could ever do. Then I did a cross cut, same story. Cut like butter and virtually no tearout even cutting very quickly. The finished surface was silky smooth. I'd feel comfortable saying it's almost finish ready. Just a few seconds with some 150 sandpaper and slap some hard wax on it. Next up is the table saw getting a CMT upgrade! Very impressed. ... show more

CMT makes the best table saw blades for the price. You certainly can pay more, but for lumber ripping and crosscutting, this blade is a bargain. After about 100 hrs. on plywood and hard and softwoods, mine is still sharp and cleans up nicely with a soak in Simple Green. Highly recommended.

Used this blade for quite a while now. Aside from cleaning the blade on occasion it stayed sharp so far. No vibration issues and for the price it surpasses box store blades by far. Have not had any bad experiences that some had.

    • Clean miter saw cuts, NOT clean on table saw cuts

I put this CMT blade on the table saw and ripped some 2x6 fir. The blade left circular rake marks the full length of the fir and provided a small vibration during the cut. I removed the blade and checked all surfaces for anything that might throw the blade off square. Replaced the blade, ripped some more and had exactly the same results. The CMT blade makes perfect cuts on the miter saw leaving no marks. I put my lightly used 40 tooth Nordic trade-a-blade back on the table saw and ripped more 2x6 fir, getting nothing but a clean cut. The CMT blade has an orange label glued on that covers one side right to the arbor hole. The other side had a label stuck on near the arbor hole. I used a light wire wheel to clear the labels near the arbor hole, giving the arbor and mounting washer clean steel to contact. Made no difference in the blade performance. Pretty disappointed that despite being very sharp, it leaves mill marks when on the table saw. ... show more

Love love love the Orange cutters and blades. Great products all around. Thick carbide for lots of resharpening when finally necessary. Blades stay sharp for a long time if you cut what the blades are recommended for. And this was an amazing price for this brand by the way. And they’re extremely sharp! The thickness of the blades are just perfect for fast clean cuts. Of course order the correct number of teeth to efficiently cut the material you have. Lots of teeth for plywoods and even more for laminates but stick with low tooth numbers if you’ll be sawing hard solid woods. Again, a great great product. Worth the money! ... show more
