Description

CMT’s Industrial PTFE-coated saw blades are a great choice for the shop that keeps its blades running all day, every day. With their heavy-gauge plate, these blades have the stamina for saws with lots of power. They Feature: -German steel body featuring 46-48 Rockwell to provide strength and resistance. -Specially formulated carbide tips to match any blade application. -Anti-vibration design which means less chattering during cutting and consequently it lengthens the life of the saw blade. Anti-vibration also means a flawless cut, so stabilizers and scoring blades are no longer necessary. -Expansion slots, which are little hook-shaped cuts in the saw blade help to reduce noise while regulating the expansion and contraction of the tool as it generates heat during cutting operations. -Laser cut steel plate, so the tool withstands the stress while cutting and gets more resistant to warping. -Tri-metal brazing, which yields excellent results and reduces the chances of failed welds, prevents the blade from cracking during cool down shrinkage and provides flexibility and resistance to impact. -Orange PTFE- coated body -Balancing and tensioning ring to keep perfect concentricity during rotation. -Delivered in a unique CMT plastic case. This low-noise thin- kerf saw blade is used for rip and crosscuts with exceptional finish. For excellent rip and crosscutting on softwood and hardwood; good rip and crosscutting on plywood. To be used on radial arm saws, miter saws, table and special saws. From the Manufacturer The CMT General blade has taken the place of the 50 tooth combination blades for discerning woodworkers to become the best all-around blade. CMT's General provides excellent results, whether cross cutting or ripping, on the table saw. The consistent distance between each ATB tooth in conjunction with less teeth than a standard blade (40 versus 50) and the 18 degree hook angle all add up to beautiful glue line rip cuts and smooth-as-glass crosscuts in both the top and bottom cut! Gives beautiful results in hardwoods, softwoods and plywood veneer. CAUTION: Our General blades are for table saw use only. NOTE: We recommend the CMT Combination Blades, series 215 and 216, for general purpose work with Radial Saws and Miter Boxes.

  • Cuts very well and smooth
Cuts very well and smoothly. Certainly as good as more expensive blades. Seems to be a high quality blade at an affordable price

  • High quality
Have not used the saw blade very much since I just got it but it feels like a high quality blade…maybe not a Forrest blade but much better than Diablo. Long time users say the blade stays sharp longer than big box store blades. I suspect I’m going to be a CMT convert. And blade is made in Italy who is known for quality steel products. ... show more

  • My First High Quality Blade! It made me a believer!
The media could not be loaded. Outstanding All purpose blade it gave me excellent clean splinter free crosscuts in maple and birch plywoods while ripping 2x4's so clean and smooth. By far the best blade I have personally used.

  • Very sharp
This is my first time buying a CMT blade. I have always been impressed with their router bits so I thought I'd give it a go. My first impressions...it's really good. It is the sharpest blade I have ever seen. I imagine it will cut like butter. I am a huge fane of the full kerf. I always thought they cut more straight with less flex, and with the sharpness I should feel little resistance anyway. I will be back to let you know how well it holds up. ... show more

Great blade to get the job done! Precise cut with no issues.

  • like a hot knife through butter
This is by far one of my favorite blades that I've used in my table saw. Runs quiet and cuts clean. I will definitely be adding more cmt blade to my other saws.

  • Excellent saw blade
Have been using cmt blades for many years in my shop. Thats all I buy.

  • No Joy With This One
I really wanted to like this blade...the orange color really grabbed my attention, and this was to be my new daily user for my new saw, but am ultimately disappointed as it underperformed expectations. There are pronounced swirl marks on the edges of every cut that make glue-ups straight from the saw marginally acceptable at best. The marks are large enough that you can feel them fairly easily. The quality of the cut looks it came from a low quality 24 tooth rip blade, not a premium 40 tooth general purpose blade. On the plus side, it's fairly free from tearout on the backside of crosscuts, but the edge marks remain. It's made in Italy with precision manufacturing techniques, high grade materials, and is a common general purpose design, so there's really no reason it shouldn't make better cuts. Performance is among the poorest performing of all the higher grade general purpose blades I've tried. My $25 Oshlun is better, as are all my Freud, Forrest, Infinity, Tenryu, DeWalt, Delta, Leitz, and Amana blades. I have other CMT products that perform well, so perhaps this one is simply "not quite right" but at $60 it's unacceptable as my "go to" blade. ... show more
