Lots of climbing finger training tools are pretty expensive. These, however, combine a bunch of tools at a price lower than many boutique options. I'm happy that there are two of them because it means I can use them on a cable machine and change the weights and directions I'm pulling.

I find these innovative but too smooth for my tastes. Granted I'm from another era, and my staple hanging devices have been the original training board and rock rings from Metolius which have a more granite like, textured surface which enhances friction. These are just the opposite, being very very smoothly sanded, and I say this without being snarky, better for those who wish to train grip without building calluses. Texture aside, these have a very nice selection of grip "pockets," and an even nicer means to orient the ring to select amongst the pockets, including the ability to orient for an angled grip. The latter is something not easily accomplished with the afore mentioned rock rings. The hanging cord is thick, which keeps it from cutting into the wood, but it also results in a very bulky knot. I would have much preferred lighter cord with a thick sleeve to align with the area in contact with the wood. Of course you can make your own, but it would have been nice if this detail had been attended to by the manufacturer. For those wishing to carry this piece of training equipment around with them, their light weigh and smooth surfaces will be welcomed when it comes time to place them in a day pack or duffle. It is not always noted that these work just as well for carrying as pulls. Attach this to a kettlebell, and you've added a whole new challenge to "farmers" carries/walks. These are uniquely well suited for this. So overall, given their modest price, I think these add a worthwhile new addition to one's training, especially when used as carrying grips. For me personally, already having other alternatives, I see these as a 4 star device, due to their lack of texture and cordage that results in a cumbersomely large knot to close. For those generally interested in such a device they may be more of a 4.5 star device. I can't award 4.5, so in a nod to their innovation, I will award the full five stars, but not without reminding others of their limitations.

This hangboard has significantly improved my finger strength and grip. It's easy to install and versatile enough for both indoor and outdoor use. I love using it for my home training sessions. Highly recommend for any climber looking to enhance their skills.
