What a great product for a great price. I'm new to bouldering and this is my first crash pad. I may not have much experience with them...but I'm no idiot and this crash pad rocks. For one, the price is great considering the higher price point most crash pads are. But they don't skimp on quality and made a very nice product with this. I bought it when it was 25% but even the regular price is very much worth it. I was surprised by the quality and the durability it seems like it will have. Several loose threads on the velcro material, worried this may come loose later on both of my pads. Pads could have a slightly softer layer of foam on top, but for the retail price it is a good overall pad for a beginner or to add to a growing collection. I have two of these in my collection of pads and have taken them out on three separate trips; they shed most dirt just fine and so far no holes or tears. I've seen these on sale multiple times for about 20% off, and at that price it makes these pads more attractive. After about a dozen outings with this pad the velcro I was worried about is still holding okay. Still loose threads coming off of it though. The padding and outer covering are also still holding up. I've taken some 10 footers on these pads and they have provided a good landing. ... show more

Great crash pad. Folds nicely for transport in a car and fits comfortably on your back for the approach. Has good padding for landings and the fold is protected to avoid ankle injuries.

I got this for motion capture so I could do animations where the actor would fall on the ground. Turns out this thing is hard as a brick and would not stop you from getting hurt if you fell on it. I'm returning it and they are charging me $38!! Just to return the thing. I can see maybe $10 or even $15 for shipping but $38? Insane. ... show more
