So, I read quite a few reviews stating that this smelt like the original Pinaud Clubman aftershave, (of which I use regularly, much to my wife's chagrin)... To all of those people: I do believe that your sniffer done be broken! Out the bottle, it smells Almost EXACTLY like brut. However, it's smells much less so when applied and has dried. In my opinion, i think it smells kinda like an antique store, or used book store where the proprietor wears an appropriate amount of brut. (In all honesty, I HATE brut, and Any amount is inappropriate, and was initially put off smelling it out the bottle, but warmed up to it once it had dried.) First off as soon as I removed the cap and took my first whiff of the contents I said, “this is strong smelling for an aftershave but smells nice.” Even my wife liked it once it was on me. Not masculine really but a bit florally and dried down to a powder/ barely floral/ musky scent. It’s also reminiscent of the original Clubman aftershave which I also like and use. But in my opinion it’s isn’t a feminine scent just because it has a floral aspect to it but it’s not what I call a masculine scent. Just pleasant especially soon after the initial application dry down. Good for spring I think and maybe even summer. Time will tell. Though I’m partial to more masculine scented or citrus scented aftershave I would purchase again. Plus it’s a pretty good value for what you pay and get. ... show more
