We got 5 chicks last year and one turned out to be a rooster. Since we had a rooster, I wanted to try to hatch my own eggs. Not having done this before and knowing I didn't want to do this on a large scale, I tried this one. I put 6 eggs in there, not knowing if they were fertilized - assuming so. 21 days later, 5 of them hatched!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was so easy. Set the temperature (which is only in Celsius) to 38.5. Added water. I just had to turn the eggs a couple times a day and add water about every 3rd day and BOOM 5 little chicks.

Update the humidity is not right in it I just lost 3 of my 8 chickens and I have had it a little over a month and can not return it. I don’t think the humidity is right and you don’t want to try to hatch at the most 6 it is too small. Pretty disappointed I only ended up with 4 out of 8 I don’t think the temp is correct.

Edit: taking away a star because this thing really doesn't hold humidity. Keep a close eye and monitor humidity levels often and be ready to add water, like multiple times a day often. My eggs do seem to be developing and the candler is a handy feature for tracking growth. We'll see how many hatch. My eggs haven't arrived yet but I've gotten everything out of the box and set up, the temperature gauge and humidity gauge are easy enough to figure out. Setup was crazy simple. Will update review once we see if my quail hatch!

The most important thing, the fan, quit on day 8 or 9, no hatch. The unit is sealed quite well. I had expensive eggs. And lost them all.

Do not buy. This thing is junk, does not maintain temperature, placed a thermometer in the incubator, highest setting temp was only 98. This resulted in no hatching, checked eggs and they were under developed ): due to temp inaccuracy. Spend the extra $$ and buy a good one, now I have upset kiddos.):

Ok so first timer here. Technically the incubator did what it needed to but let me tell you how stressed I’ve been because of the tiny space and the large holes in the bottom. I keep thinking they are going to get their heads stuck in a hole and drown or they are going to hurt themselves because they have no room. They are crazy little monsters in there when they hatch and I can’t sleep because of this incubator!
