I have very very dry skin and have used Clinique's 3 Step system for very dry skin for the last 15 months. I use DDMC and Moisture Surge Intense for most of the year along with squalane and rotating serums. I can only use hyaurloronic acid during the summer because it pulls too much moisture out of my skin in the winter (tried using lots of ways---no luck!). In the summer, I can switch to DDML+ and regular Moisture Surge. If you use this, BUY IT IN BULK. I bought 6 jars (I left 2 for others--I didn't buy it ALL lol). Clinique reformulated the MSI and the old formula isn't available anymore. The new formula is as bad as all the ratings say it is!! I had a horrible breakout (my husband commented he'd never seen my face breakout like this in 20 years!!) and it still hasn't recovered about 4 weeks later. I rated it 4 stars (3.5 is probably more accurate) because it doesn't deliver quite enough moisture for my extremely dry skin and I have to apply it at night, so it dries down enough to wear my bareMinerals original foundation (which oddly enough is NOT as drying on my skin as liquid foundations!).

I have extremely dry and sensitive skin. Painfully dry at times, with a panoply of skin conditions so, needless to say, I am very careful about the products I use. See my other reviews for the myriad products I've tried - I've become an expert on dry, sensitive skin! I have no idea whether Moisture Surge Intense has any anti-aging properties, but for hydrating the skin I have found nothing better. It absorbs immediately and there is absolutely no greasy residue or feeling of having goop all over your face. And my facial skin stays hydrated for a very, very long time. I have tried the other version (the non-intense one) and it works well too, but there IS a difference between the "regular" and "intense" and if you have very dry skin, I would suggest trying this one. I have been using it for about 2 years now and have never experienced any redness or breakouts, despite how hydrating it is. The price on Amazon is about the same as I've found at my local department stores - so there's no great cost savings, but I buy it here because it's easier than going into the store. If you're struggling with dryness on your face and haven't found a product that hydrates adequately or that hydrates for a few minutes but doesn't last, I'd recommend this product without reservation. I often wear it under makeup and it really helps keep the foundation and concealer I use from looking cracked or dry. It's not cheap - but it works!

I have used Moisture Surge Intense for over 10 years, and was very upset when Clinique abandoned it for two different "new and improved" products. I tried one and wasn't happy. I did an online search for the Moisture Surge Intense and was thrilled that I could get it on Amazon. It is the authentic product. I bought two jars which will hold me for a year but, unfortunately, I'll have to find something to replace it when I run out.

My skin has seen more decades than I care to admit and I always battled oily skin and acne, then the lifelong gift of rosacea. Seriously?! I had very VERY expensive moisturizer from the dermatologist, but it was so insanely expensive that I wanted to seek other options. My sister, who has very similar skin told me about this product and I do like it very much. This is absolutely fine for my problem skin. It glides on smoothly, does not feel greasy and does not cause my rosacea to flare. It is gentle enough for the eye area. I even like the packaging and the pale pink. It feels "pretty." Again, this is light. If you like a heavy cream then this probably is not for you. Good luck.

I have combination skin. It feels so refreshing when you put it on and yet it soaks in quick enough to be able to apply makeup in the morning too. I have used the yellow Clinique gel (forgot the name) and never liked that but this feels amazing! Not sticky when soaking in Applies evenly Smell is neutral, not perfume-like Not too thick Lasts a roughly a month if you use twice a day Moisturizes without clogging my pores Not oily at all I have purchased over 20 of these. I would recommend to anyone that can afford it! The price does hurt each time I buy another but to me and my situation, worth it 100%.

I love this face skin product line. It does moisturize your face wonderfully. It is quickly absorbed into your skin upon application and the skin hydrates immediately and lasts all day. Difficult to tell if it actually contributes to reducing wrinkles, closes pores and blends skin tone variances. I also love the product because there is no strong perfume. I highly recommend this product that are willing to accept that when over 50 and 60 years of age one does show the mileage of aging. Perhaps if I started using this product in the 20's then at 62, I would have less wrinkles than I have now.
