I think this is a good primer for those with dry to combo skin. This is definitely a bit more hydrating than some products and it provides a bit of a luminous glow underneath foundation with its light peach ish color. It says it can be used as a highlighter and I think it would provide that dewy look rather than a glittery one. I usually don't wear primer so I did find that my makeup lasted better in my drier areas, but as an oily girl, this luminous, hydrating primer did not help my T zone. I get creasing and need to use powder or blot away oil by 2 or 3 pm all over the face and I noticed that in the worse T zone areas, especially around the nose, my foundation had simply worn away and what was left was accentuating creases by my nose. This usually happens when I use a hydrating primer of any kind though, including pore filling kinds that aren't made for oily skin and hydrating sunscreen. It was a bit worse than usual, but nothing I wasn't expecting. Overall, I think this would provide a nice "from within" glow for other skin types, but I'll keep using my matte base products for my oily skin personally.

Even though I don't use makeup, I like the results of this primer. According to the "suggested use" section in the product description here, this primer is intended to be applied *after* moisturizer, but from my experience using this product a few times it doesn't actually feel like I need to use a separate moisturizer, so I've been using it after applying just toner and facial oil. I think it's on par with some of the better moisturizers that I use, but I don't personally think that its light reflecting properties are significantly any different, and I'm not sure what Clinique means when it says that it's "even better". Even better than what? For what it's worth, this primer has a noticeably dark tint relative to most of the other dozens of other facial products I've tried the last several years, but the tint dissipates following application, and as such doesn't change the tint of my fair skin in any noticeable way. Another reviewer here commented that "it's not very moisturizing", and that they "didn't like the way it just dried up", but as someone with fairly dry skin I can assure you that it's quite moisturizing, keeping in mind my earlier comment that this product is intended to be applied *after* moisturizer rather than as a substitute in the way I've been using it.
