I was hesitant to buy this because of the mixed reviews but the price wasn't too bad so I took my chances and I'm glad it did! My nine year old son loves this and we will buy him a real sax in the future. He has to learn to press each key fully and blow to make a sound. In my opinion that's better he learns how really play it. So far it's sturdy with normal play, I instructed him not to drop it or bang it around and he keeps it in the box. I wish there was a neck strap so he could hold it properly. The box only came with two songs to play so I'll have to go online and find more easy songs. ... show more

Very cheap. Will break within a week. “Keys” came off. But you get what you pay for. Sound is surprisingly ok for the price. For kids under 4-5.

Perfect for a toddler or young child that loves music. My 3 yr old son has had the trumpet for over a year and the clarinet for six months, still going strong except for one key on the clarinet which broke when I stepped on it. He tore all the keys off his saxophone but that was an act of destruction and cannot be blamed on the manufacturer. After 10 months Santa replaced the saxophone. These seem to last well enough under normal play conditions. These are a big hit when my son takes them to see live musicians. He's been invited to "play" with several bass bands. These made him the star of the show more than once. ... show more
