While the sand toys in this set are great, I am giving it only 3 stars because part of the draw to buy THIS one over others was that it came in its own little backpack. Unfortunately, both the first AND replacement sets I received had backpacks that were unusable. I was excited to give it to my 5-year-old for an upcoming trip, because he LOVES to wear little backpacks and take his own stuff to the beach. It's lightweight, it's mesh so sand can be shaken out, it has a drawstring, so it's easy to pack and close up for a young kid, but it is also RIPPED at the bottom from poor production. I returned the first one and got a replacement sent. Same problem. The bottom nylon material is not sewn onto the mesh bag completely, so there is a gaping hole about 5 inches of the diameter and shows shredded edges where it will continue to tear apart. I'm not going to return it this time since I have no time to wait for a replacement at this point, but the backpack is truly not a functional part of this set. If you know that up-front and prepare to have a different little bag or tote to carry them, great. But if not, you may be up a creek without a backpack in which to carry your sand toys home. ... show more
