I love this stuff. I used to be a staunch supporter of La Roche Posay Pigmentclar. I unfortunately left that $29 face wash in a hotel shower on vacation. Upon return I ended up looking for an affordable replacement as my wallet recovered from a Disney World summer vacation. I also wanted a wash with less fragrance in it. At first, I tried the Cocokind acid cleanser and absolutely hated it — it smelled awfully chemical, did not suds up even a little and did not leave my skin feeling clean. Sure my skin was somewhat hydrated because the soap was gentle, but I don’t feel the acids really worked as well as those in Pigmentclar to clear my skin and lighten dark spots. Enter this Hero cleanser. The bottle drew me in, I’ll admit. It’s not great for travel because there’s no way to lock the pump mechanism, so you’d have to port this to a different container. The texture is super jelly like and has very small pulp like particles mixed in. If anyone has ever used a peeling gel it kind of feels like those after you start rubbing them in. I think the particles in this cleanser act as a very gentle surface exfoliator. It has a very neutral smell, but not nasty or chemical. After wash, it leaves me clean but not stripped to the point of my skin being squeaky. It suds up satisfyingly but doesn’t overly dry me out. I use a pump and a half to wash. I have dry skin due to my PCOS medication. That being said I use acid face washes to keep my PCOS acne gently in check. I love this face wash for this purpose. It leaves my skin soft and I have absolutely seen an increase in the evenness of the texture and tone of my skin over the past two months of use; the acids are effective. Overall - I thoroughly enjoy this Hero wash more than the Pigmentclar. The price is right and the effect is better for my skin type (27, dry acne prone). I’d love to see a different pump that would be good for travel. I love the bottle because you can see the cool texture of the wash. Maybe there could be a mini version for travel.

I really enjoy using this cleanser. I use it as my AM cleanser, it’s not irritating and can be used for all skin types. My skin doesn’t feel dry after cleansing and I can honestly say using it every day for two months now that my skin doesn’t get oily throughout the day now and after cleansing it feels soft and supple and ready to take in my toner and serums. My skin feels moisturized throughout the day but not oily, this is huge for me because I’ve struggled with oily skin for most of my life. So happy I found this product. This is my go to cleanser, the only reason I don’t use it at night most of the time is because I do wear a full face of make up so I use the cleansing balm and then a superfood cleanser because most of the day I’ve got make up sitting on my skin. I know for a fact this cleanser has made a huge difference for my skin because this is the only product I have changed in the last two months and it’s just made a huge difference. This will be a permanent part of my routine from here on out. Also for anybody wondering what the scent is, it has no scent- I personally like a citrusy scent in the morning but the fact that it doesn’t have a scent just goes to show that it really is not irritating and it’s great for sensitive skin. I’m more than happy to use this non-scented product because of the awesome benefits it’s hadfor my skin so far.

For my skin it was drying my skin out in certain areas but I loved the clean feeling and the scent of it. I now use it only 1 or 2 days a week and I am good.

This is my go to for cleaning my face 1-2x a day. I have very oily acne prone skin and this helps keep in in check. Doesn’t dry out my skin and cleanses it perfectly. Lasts a good amount of time too before running out.

This cleanser is great when used periodically. I made the mistake of using this daily and my skin was angry with me. Now I only use it once or twice a week. In combination with my other skincare, it works very nicely

I really wanted to love this cleanser.. I have acne prone combination skin with some patches of dryness and hyperpigmentation from past acne spots. So I had hoped this would help prevent clogged pores and mildly address some hyperpigmentation while removing light make up such as blush, eye concealer, eye brow cream, and mascara. After adding water to the cleanser, the jelly consistency becomes a light lather which seemed great at first. I have no doubt that it could live up to all of its claims but it also is incredibly drying after rinsing it off. Generally, I can tell if a cleanser is drying if I can see flakes of skin on my face appearing within 30-45 seconds after rinsing which is exactly what happened with this cleanser. This cleanser might be beneficial for those with extremely oily skin or those who double cleanse with some type of balm or moisturizing first cleanse. I would return this if I could but I’ve used the product about 6 times so I wouldn’t want someone else to receive a used product.

I’ve reordered this product over and over because it gets all my makeup off, exfoliates but so gently and lightly I can use daily and has a smooth consistency but nice and foamy when washing

For it to weight, I think it has more than it tells it has. It has performed really good so far.My face looks a lot cleaner now. The smell shows really good quality. Its looks are amazing. It's really nice.Just to look at
