I ordered the Dark Brown Nubuck shade in 8.5 and the Brown Snuff (pictured) shade in 9. My size ranges from 8-9 and for these boots with the need for socks, the 9 fit best. The shoes are very cute, and I was pleasantly surprised that the Brown Snuff color was **nearly as dark** as the Dark Brown Nubuck. Not everyone will want that so please take note!! I wanted a warm brown color but dark and that's what the Brown Snuff was. I haven't worn the shoes yet, just tried them on for 5m, but I can see crease marks forming already which isn't ideal. I'll be wearing them a lot though, and expect them to look broken in (plus can restore with leather balm) so that's not a deal breaker for me.

These boots do, indeed, run narrow. That's fabulous for me because most shoes are too wide for my narrow feet. Per the recommendations in reviews, I sized up one half size. I probably would have been okay with my usual size, but having extra toe room means my toes will never hit the end of the boot when I'm walking faster or longer distances. I bought these to wear on walking tours I need to give. These boots match my expectations for the Clark brand, with a good sole with some traction, comfortable, slightly padded insole, quality stitching, and some padding around the ankles. Far and above much higher quality than cheaper boots I tried, yet still well under $100 bucks, so they are a good deal.

This is a beautiful shoe. It does run small. I'm usually a 7.5W (although that size is big for me i like the extra space) but i got an 8W and it still fits tighter than I'd like for my foot problems, although i don't have wide feet. The 8W certainly doesn't fit like a Wide but it was comfortable enough that i kept them because they're so pretty. The photos don't do it justice, you have to try them on. However, what bothered me most was that it was clear this shoe had been tried on before and the packaging was really dirty on the inside. The shoe was in good enough condition that i kept it.
