This serum helps keep my skin moisturized through the winter months especially. It helps soften my skin and soothe the irritation that comes along with the cold, dryness of winter. HOW I USE: 1 - Cleanse my face by washing & using toner. 2 - I apply 4 drops to my hands and then gently rub over my face and next. Then I use a dab cloth to remove any excess oil that remains on my face. 3 - Then I follow with my preferred morning or night moisturizer. It is a bit pricey, which is a huge factor when I choose products, but for a professional brand product that gives exceptional results, I realize I will have to pay a higher price. EXPIRATION DATE: NONE! I always check for expiration dates before using, ESPECIALLY with any skin products. The expiration date tells me whether a product has been sitting somewhere on a shelf or an idea of when manufactured for distribution. The direction is not clear on the box. It doesn’t tell you how many drops to use. I like the smell but I don’t like the oily feeling on my face. I have very dry skin and still it takes a long time to absorb the oil. I use a facial massager to massage the oil on my face. My skin feels soft afterwards. I hope it shows some good results after I finish the bottle.

Clarins makes really good stuff and, in spite of not really caring for oil treatments, I like this one. It feels thick but goes on light and really absorbs. It leaves your face really soft. I think you best bet here is about 30 minutes before bed to really let it soak up. This oil is packed with nice ingredients. I think I am probably a little too naturally oily to use this stuff everyday but it is effective and will be a 2x weekly change of pace product moving forward. Recommend.

This Clarins Santal Face Treatment Oil doesn't smell bad, it has a very light scent that seems to dissipate quickly after I put it on my face. The oil absorbs into my skin pretty quickly. It leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturized. My skin isn't sticky or shiny either. It only takes a small amount to cover my face and neck area with this oil. The directions say to use a tissue to remove any excess oil, I don't usually have any. After applying this I follow with my moisturizer. This hasn't caused me any skin irritation or redness while using it.

This Clarins Santal Face Treatment Oil is a natural yellow in color and absorbs cleanly with a smooth, satin-feeling finish. It comes in a clear glass bottle. It's best to store it in a dark drawer or cabinet when you're not using it, out of direct sunlight, to prevent oxidation damage to the product. The eyedropper dispenses well. It has a floral scent. On the potential drawback side, the ingredients contain both fragrance and several plant essential oils, which smell good but can potentially be irritating for those with sensitive skin. Also, sandalwood oil can be potentially comedogenic, and face oils should be used with caution for those with acne-prone skin. It's made in France. The bottle comes well sealed, but there isn't a PAO or expiration date marked on the bottle or the outer box. I'd recommend making a note of when you open the bottle and using it within 6 months of opening, and to sniff it every now and then to check for rancidity (a concern with any oil-based skincare product). I immediately liked the fragrance of this. It has a soothing essential oils smell. The label says sandalwood and lavender. As great as it smells, the fragrance fades quickly so it is not overpowering or likely to bother the user. I also thought it might be too greasy upon application but it quickly absorbs into the skin leaving it moisturized with a healthy glow. I find Clarins to be a high quality brand and this product is no exception. If you are in the market for a facial oil this would be a good one to try.

I love Clarins products but sometimes find them a bit perfumey. I absolutely love the scent of this facial oil. It smells almost like lavender. It’s super nice and soothing without being heavy or overwhelming. Facial oils are just that. Oils. If you have greasy skin, this may not be for you. Especially if you prefer a matte finish. I love them because I have very dry skin so i like to use a few drops in my day and night cream or alone instead of a serum. High quality and derived from plant extracts. Refreshing, soothing and hydrating. Definitely recommend if you have super dry skin and want a healthy glow.

Very lovely item. You can feel it hydrating your skin. It lasts all day. Watch their video on how to apply. You add drops to your lotion mix and warm with hands then pat and drain. Don’t just put drops in your hand and rub all over your face. I did that the first time and felt like too much. This is perfect for winter dry skin or sun damaged skin. My pores clog really easy and so far it’s been great. I really like this oil.
