This Clarins lip oil is smooth, hydrating, and leaves a pretty gloss that feels more like skincare than makeup. I picked the Pitaya shade, which is bold in the bottle, but on the lips, it’s a sheer, flattering tint that’s just enough to brighten my face. The scent is sweet and subtle (I actually love it), and the applicator is plush and easy to use. With consistent use, my lips feel noticeably softer, so I’d say it is effective as a nourishing treatment, not just for shine. That said, the longevity is moderate. The gloss does wear off with regular use (and definitely after eating), so I do reapply a few times a day. But because it feels good going on and makes my lips look and feel healthy, I really don’t mind. It’s not ultra-long-lasting, but it’s beautiful, comfortable, and makes my lips feel cared for. ... show more
