I got these to do with my disabled grandchild. I brought these for her birthday. We were able to complete 2 of the dogs before she passed away. I gave the rest of the dogs in the kit to my other granddaughter who is 7 and she loved making them. I was happy to be able to teach them to do a little sewing because it is something I enjoy doing. Frustration: the stickers are really hard to sell rate from the backs without losing all of the adhesion. Love: these dogs are adorable and the sewing is just enough that it really teaches a running stitch without making it tedious. I walked my twin 7 year olds through one dog and and now they are good to go with the sewing part with all the rest. The material that you sew is nice and sturdy which makes it great for beginners. Like: the plastic needles make this craft safe for littles. I just wish they were sturdier, and that they gave enough that there is one per dog. My set only had 6. ... show more

Good intro to sewing up to age 11. Plastic needles & pre-punched holes reduces frustration & encourages kids to finish. Everything shown is included, no add) shopping needed. Only complaint, peel off sticker backing does not peel well, had to add glue our own glue to small pieces.
