I tend to buy good saw blades. Few I buy anymore would rate as less than 5 stars (perhaps I need to reevaluate my rating system). Over the years I have found the good saw blade companies and stick with them but every once in a while I get a dog from a new company I try. I like good combination blades. I don't change my blades for different cuts. Does anyone? In any regard, this blade cuts as well as any I have had (this is my third). It stays sharp as well as any I have had and outside of very hard woods like Ipe I find the blade will last much longer than my attention span. As an amateur woodworker, I do not put my blades to hard use. I sometimes work many hours a day and sometimes do little for a month. In other words - I have not tested them but they seem to last as well as any. As these blades are as good as any I have used I stick with them simply because of the company. I have one of their saws and with the one issue I had they bent over backward to help me. For me that kind of ethical behavior deserves loyalty. Until I find that they have changed, and I understand that Festool has purchased SawStop, I will continue to purchase from them when their products are good. ... show more

I will start this review with full disclosure that I currently own a Saw Stop Table saw. Saw Stop is a company that builds quality products and that includes their saw blades. They price their blades very captively and of course they always fit the machine and hold their edge as well as other more expensive blades. ... show more

Nice price, fairly narrow kerf, and cuts as well as $70 -80 blades. Woodworking is a serious hobby for me and so far both 40T and 60T have held up well on softer woods: pine, plywood, poplar, soft maple. Haven't needed sharpening, and not sure I'd go that route considering a new replacement is $49.

    • Surprising quality
I just saved and saved and bought my sawstop. I got one blade with the saw and was so impressed with the cut quality I ordered this one. The blade seems on the same level as my nice forest blades, and as a product of sawstop I have confidence it is 100% compatible with their system.
